Had a model already, will be posting some pics soon :).
Just " blocking it in" at the moment though.

I figured I might as well start now, while I still have some time !

Have to varnish it, and add name and number on the base (as well as clean the yellow ring).

But pics can be found HERE.
(before and after, I guess).

And sorry about the moldline... :-? Normally I am better at that, but since this was a model I wanted to paint anyway (already undercoated, red none the less, but that was some time ago) I didnt check for them. Because I wasnt expecting them anymore, I figured I had already removed them anyway.

Ugroth has been started, and I just found an orc cheerleader too if there are any local (or UK tournament-going) latecomers.

Seeing as the team is already getting full, I don't think there is harm in people painting extra positionals if they want to. It's better to end up with 5 Blitzers rather than 3 if someone drops out.

Scally,

Can you tell me what colour you used as a base colour for the skin. It looks grey-ish on my end.

Also, do you use black lining or is it only the result or careful layering that we see on your mini?

Finally, if I may suggest anything, is that you give us a step-by-step with paints and ratio used on your blog, to which I became the first follower!

Thanks!

I washed the skin areas with GW 'devlan mud', thats all thats in the 1st pic, by the 2nd pic I had painted all the skin with 1 coat of GW 'goblin green' followed by another wash, this time GW 'thrakka green'. you'll soon see that all the paints I use are from Games Workshop.

I was looking at the pictures trying to see where you mean. I don't blackline anymore, used to, but I do layer up from dark to light so I leave dark areas in the recesses and where the colour will meet an edge. Hope that helps?!

Sure, I'll put up some step by steps with ratios but my methods are longwinded and occasionally unnecessary, be warned.

Also for this Orc specifically I'm trying to copy some pictures from an old (1989) copy of White Dwarf, to capture that 2nd ed feel. I'll post a scan of the pictures and you can judge for yourselves how well I match the skin tones :)

I've finished the minor sculpting on my Gobbo - he's got a catcher's mitt. new shoulder pad and a back number plate. I also redid the strap for his eye pack, and tidied up the join for the face guard on the helmet. He just needs to cure, then I can get on and paint him :)

Nice work on your Gobbo Scally09 :)

Thanks for the kind words.

I've done some more work on the Orc Lineman (update with pics on blog).

Wanted to know if I can do the Bomber? I have the GW goblin Bomber model and will gladly donate it! I realise it might be too early to ask about taking more than 1 mini, but if no one else shows interest... I'll have one done.
