Just started putting my mini together. I'm surprisingly pleased with what i have so far. I'll post some pictures when i get a chance.

Suffice to say kitbashing is fun.

Although it's not really kitbashing if you just add a ball to a standard dwarf mini, is it?

Am planning on starting to paint Grim over the summer, just need to decide the exact colours to use. Is there a consensus on the shades of grey to use for the kit and base? I was thinking a light cold grey might go well with teal and a warmer mid-grey for the base, more like natural stone.

Was in my local GW today ordering deathzone 2 and the goblins, got their Sotek green as it is a pretty good match for Teal. Looks to be a strong paint with good coverage too.

Uhm, do we have a third colors to do numbers and stuff with?

I was thinking teal pads/torso and grey pants.
But what about other things?

I'm thinking for example white numbers and white helmet (with teal stripe).

Would that be ok, or should all be grey or teal?

I was going Light grey on the kit (and have started as such - can always be changed still), but was thinking about dark Sandstone (maybe - this isn't started yet) for the base. Happy to switch to a dark grey base though - just think it ought to be different to the kit colour (imho)

Also, I've been going with a dwarf bronze for helmets and other metallic type areas after starting with that colour for the Blitzer's knuckle duster (its a new blitzer model). Going to do some additional shading/highlighting tonight then will hopefully post a picture (from my iphone). If I can then extend to a teal stripe, I will do! Will rather depend on my painting abilities and my confidence in them

While at risk of looking like I'm talking to myself, here's the WIP dwarf model.

I like the bronze too, good choice. Not sure how much metal work my runner has on him but will try to find something to paint in the same way.

I love that the assistant coach's motivational tool is a stool.

Here's the almost complete job. Just needs some gold highlights for the bronze (and the head attaching obvs) before varnishing. Thought I'd post a photo before that so that the base effect could be seen.

I've thoroughly enjoyed painting this new dwarf model, so can see the team being put on a Christmas present list, if I don't win the legacy version here ;)

The coach model looks ace too. Very nice!
