Edinburgh Blood Bowl 7s, 18/11/18 (12/14 place taken)
Come along to Edinburgh's first NAF-sanctioned Blood Bowl 7s tournament! We have 14 places available, with each coach playing five matches throughout the day. Tickets cost £12, which covers entry, lunch, a D7 die for every participant and prizes
Venue: Games Hub, Edinburgh: http://www.gameshubedinburgh.com/
PLEASE NOTE you need to be a member of the NAF to take part. You can join online for US$10 (https://www.thenaf.net/members-area/join-the-naf/) or on the day for £5.
Team creation:
-Teams may be purchased using 600,000 GC.
- Star Players, Extra Training and Special Play Cards are removed from the inducements list; Wandering Apothecaries, Babes, Igor, Bribes, Mercenaries and Chefs are all allowed as normal
- Teams may be selected from any of the 24+2 Blood Bowl races
- A team may not have more than 11 players on the roster. A team will only field 7 players at a time.
- In addition, only 4 “specialist” players (meaning any player whose availability is less than 0-12) may be selected.
- Sevens teams are not very well-trained or reliable. Team rerolls cost double their listed cost. For example, a reroll for a human team would cost 100,000 GC.
- Select one player in your squad and give him the Pro skill - s/he is your team captain
- After each match, randomly select a player on the pitch at the end of the game and give them a new "singles" skill (stunties can roll on the skills table, so have a chance of doubles or stat increases). Skill stacking is allowed if the same player is selected more than once in different matches.
- Leader is banned from the tournament; and Pro may not be given to any player other than the captain (see above)
Rules: http://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/upload ... F_BB7s.pdf
In addition, once per half every coach may roll their D7 instead of a D6 for absolutely any roll (e.g. injury, kick off table result, attempted dodge, use of bribe etc). A roll of 13 for injury is still counted as a CAS; a role of 13 on the weather table is also a blizzard. It is recommended you put your D7 on your turn marker or reroll track as otherwise you'll forget to use it!

Are you good doing the sign ups and results uploading Ant or would you like me to bring my stuff? Looking forward to this one! Currently have zero practice at sevens so should be fun trying to work it out on the day!

Great that you can make it! Some of us have played a handful of 7s games but there will be a fair number who have never played it before. It's going to be intense - five matches in a day!Don__Vito wrote:Are you good doing the sign ups and results uploading Ant or would you like me to bring my stuff? Looking forward to this one! I’ve done eleven full games at 24 hour tournaments multiple times. This is a breeze...

Quick clarification about the skills from the rules.
It says that one skill is to be randomly allocated to a player on the pitch at the end of the game.
Does this mean what it says, and you only randomise amongst the players literally still on the field, or do you randomly choose from your whole roster regardless whether they lasted the game?

Yes it's a skill only for the players left on the pitch. Fluff-wise it's that the guy has played a full match and learned some new skills.
(also an attempt to get as much use as possible out of the D7

7's will fit you perfectly Don
It's very fast paced.
Not many of my games go over 20 minutes (you know how I play

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

I wondered that Al, but assumed with only 12 turns and teams not being in contact at kick offs then SURELY that would never happen...?

Good question - and it did actually happen in a practice game... If there's no-one left on the pitch then no-one gets a skill!lunchmoney wrote:Re the skill up; what happens in the event of a pitch clearing?
