I thought camdub was pro-am, not pro-pro... ;p
People always overestimate me, I don't have any teams rated over 200, my highest is 180 something...
im a prolific player, but that doesn't make me a good one.....

The 'one coach must have a < 200 ranking' thing is a legacy rule from the first Cam Dub where all pairs were assembled via a random draw. It seemed like the most sensible way to run the tournament at the time. Now we're allowing pairs to sign up together, it has been suggested that we drop it. Perhaps we will come 2018, any thoughts on this are welcome (preferably in the bar on the 11th Nov. so we don't make too much noise in the thread, but if you're not coming this year and would like to contribute, please do!).

It occurs there has been a lot of noise re: rules of late, and it might be confusing for anyone that hasn't followed it closely (I'm aware we'll have some new to NAF coaches joining us as well, so I wanted to make sure I'd made this post). To expand on the passage in the OP rules and to be explicit, we'll be using all of the latest NAF guidelines (you will find them here). We won't be using Khorne or Bretonnians; these races only go 'live' in January, and the Stars available for use are limited to those listed in the NAF document linked. If anyone has any questions, please shout either in the thread or via PM.

4 weeks or so to go, would be lovely to have one or two more pairs join us! Roll up!

Cheers for the clarification Phil. If I manage to get them painted, I might use my Chaos Pact team (Chaos Renegades?) with an orc marauder positional. Handy to know that I won't be breaking any rules if I do.

TBC, but we will put something together!

That Orc looks pretty handy for LOS duty, doesn't he? I'll certainly be having me one of those when I next Pact (er... Renegade)!

Not at all! If you don't have a partner, either Schmee or I will join you to form a pair. Although, there may well be another looking for someone to team up with?

Hearing some good noises via e-mail of at least two more teams worth of players. It's not too late to sign up, but I'll be buying prizes later this week based upon money received / promised to date. Roll up!

Will update the OP list later.

At what time would a Wookie have to be at the pub on Friday to be in time for the draw?

Will be a pleasure to have you along, Dave and John! I've updated the OP, should be at 24 participants if all of the interested parties turn into paid entrants. Not bad!

Candlejack, a Swiss(!) BB legend! There will certainly be a Friday night pub meeting (likely co-ordinated by Schmee, we'll get moving on advertising the evening entertainments very shortly), but I suspect I'll do the draw at home setting up the spreadsheet for the morning. Will you be joining us?

Thanks for the kind words :-) Takes one to know one ;-)

I am really thinking about it. Will have to check with my colleagues tomorrow if I could get that Friday and Monday off from work, as there are no flights to do this purely over the weekend. Will also check the closer hotels if/what is available, but I guess that should not be an issue.

So far it seems that the best travel option is flying to Standsted and take the train (40ish mins) to Cambridge. Or are there any better/closer international airports?

tl;dr

I really hope I can make this happen, will hopefully know tomorrow.

Stansted is best, unless you have a private jet, then you can fly to Cambridge!

Time to look for some spare change among the couch cushions then.
