eXiles Open X: Back to BasiX is a 2 day Blood Bowl tournament on 8th and 9th September 2018.

Tickets are £12

New coaches are also welcome. Spread the word to new players; I'll cover the cost of NAF membership for new members :)
Current members can renew at the standard NAF cost (at time of writing this is £5). As I am the local NAF rep I carry a supply of dice/tokens and can process new members and renewals immediately.

Payment can be made to me in person, or via PayPal to lunchmoney@exilesleague.com.
If paying via Paypal please mark the payment as a personal gift or Paypal swipe a percentage.
Also note your name and NAF name (if you are a NAF member), that the payment is for eXiles Open X: Back to BasiX.

Rules pack can be found here. (Typo on page 3; regarding Stunty cup at the bottom, should read "star players are not considered for this." IE Flings may bring Zara and are still in the Stunty Cup.)

Rules summary:
105 TV
6 games of Blood Bowl
Random draw for first 2 rounds then Swiss draw for rounds 3, 4, 5 & 6.
3/1/0 scoring then SoS tiebreaker.
1 skill per game after each game.

With NAF announcement re DZ2 https://www.thenaf.net/2017/05/naf-and-death-zone-2/ the new roster changes and inducements are allowed. As I have traditionally allowed everything from the inducements list this does include the, somewhat topical, new wizard.
Any further rules and news from GW and the NAF will be taken into account, but I will probably stick with the “allow everything!” schtick.

If you have any questions please ask.

Around the corner is this Indian restaurant http://www.moonlightbroadstone.co.uk/
I love their food and would think it would be great for a Saturday evening social.
Have spoken with the restaurant and we have tables booked from 20:30. I've given them a rough guide of about 20 (hoping everyone's up for it), but an exact number to be confirmed closer to time.

If you know you are up for coming for a curry, let me know :)

Placeholder post to express my interest assuming my placeholder rota will allow for my placeholder attendance.
And will placeholder Moodygit's interest as well.

Out of interest, why random for the first 2 rounds?

Agony of decision here, folks. My venue for the last few tourneys, Avon Causeway Hotel (on the train), has put up lunch costs. I can either up the ticket price (probably £30) to cover it (and continue to plough everything back into the event like I always try to do) or I can move venue again.

My FLGS, Bag Of Holding, keeps offering to host my Exiles events (this on top of the Block of Holding events I just run for them). The capacity would have to drop to about 20 (edit after Block of Holding: 16 would be the cap), there would be no lunch included, and no free parking. But the price would be in the region of £15.

Thoughts?

I think it is well worth £30. I would pay that.

Could you hire without a lunch option and leave people to choose between bringing their own or using the hotel?

I'll ask, but I do get very good rates on the room hire on the basis that I order 20+ lunches.

I only ask because it would be a shame to have to restrict to just 20 coaches. I too would pay £30.00 for the event if necessary to keep it at the larger venue.
