Entry costs and payment

The Far Albion Cup is part of the church’s games day, however it is being organised by TYBBL who will be collecting the fees, these fees will be used to purchase trophies and as a donation to the church for use of the buffet lunch and usage of the hall.

Entry is £12.50 per coach, and all coaches need to be NAF registered. We are hoping to have a NAF representative at the event who can register or renew coaches (normally at a cost of £5.00).

Please send payments by paypal to admin@wybbl.org.uk
Could you select the 'gift' or 'paying a friend' option so we don't lose out on fees please?

Due to previous issues, we will not be offering refunds, however will do everything we can to help you sell your ticket on to another coach should the need arise.

Rules

The Far Albion Cup will be using current NAF approved rule set. Please check the NAF website for the current rules. This tournament will be using the newly approved Bretonnian and Khorne teams, they will both be classed as tier one teams.

The Illegal Procedure will not be enforced. There is a time limit for games, so coaches are encouraged to play 4 minute turns to ensure games are completed. Any games that reach the time limit will have to be halted and the result at this point will be the final result of that game.

We will be using the standard "Resurrection" rules; coaches will play each match with the same starting roster and do not need to record SPPs or any ongoing injuries. Undead, Necro or Nurgle teams may not keep 'raised' players from game to game.
Coaches may spend up to 1,200,000 gold crowns on their team roster. Rosters may include one star player as part of the team; the star player may be part of the starting eleven players. Halfling, Goblin and Ogre teams are an exception to this rule; they may have two star players, both of which can be part of the starting eleven players.

No inducements may be taken except by goblins, who may take up to 3 bribes at 50k each, and halflings who may hire a master chef for 100k.

Each team will be offered a skills package to enhance their players; this will be done on a tier system.
TIER 1 Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
TIER 2 Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elf, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Necromantic, Nurgle, Slann
TIER 3 Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld, Vampire

The packages will be as follows:
TIER 1 = 4 normal skills
TIER 2 = 4 normal skills and 1 double skill
TIER 3 = 4 normal skills and 2 double skills

You may not assign more than one additional skill to any player and star players may not have additional skills added.

The tournament will also link in to the new WYBBL Far Albion League season. All coaches are eligible to join the new WYBBL season, and they can use their tournament games to class as their first three season games. To do so a coach notes all SPP points from their 3 games, as well as carrying out MVP rolls and FF rolls for each game (this data is not used in the tournament). At the end of the tournament coaches can apply the SPP to their league roster and make the appropriate roster adjustments (rolling for any skill ups), however any tournament tier skills are lost. No winnings will be earned from the tournament; this is to balance out the fact that teams will have had the benefit of resurrection during the tournament.

Games and Scoring

The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day - there will be no final.

Points are scored as follows:
10 points for a win.
5 points for a draw.
0 points for a loss.

Ties (for both Swiss and final winner) will be resolved as follows:
Ties to be determined on the following (in order) Head to Head, Strength of Schedule, combined TD and Cas difference, Strength of Schedule.

Casualty score in this case is casualties from BLOCKING ONLY (including "defensive" ones where the blocking player ends up injured and gives the intended victim a casualty point).

Things To Bring With You

A painted (or inked) team.
Your Blood Bowl board.
Dice.
Templates.
Three roster sheets (one for the head ref, one for yourself and one for your opponent).

Hi, we have dropped entry down to 12 places due to limited interest so far (the last few tournaments sold out in days, so we needed extra seats). If we get to capacity I can always look at seeing if additional tables are still available, but as we share the venue with a games group, I don't want to steal all the tables if they aren't going to get used.

Edit: After posting this, 3 more people signed up!

Do we spend 1.2m and then add skills, or do the skills we choose add on 20k/30k which need to be factored in to the 1.2m?

Hi,

1.2m spend to make your roster, then you boost this roster with the skill package for your teams tier.

Ok, all 12 spaces have now gone.

I can make more room available, but needs to be done in pairs, and via special arrangement (i.e. PM me so I can check with the venue first to make sure we have room).

Okay, going to declare this full, as no extra places have been requested, and I need to let the venue know about final numbers.
