IGBB Presents - 7 Card Brag / Cheltenham / CORNISH WINS!!
So here we are, the final BB7s of the year at Incom Games. The plan was to do one every 2 month but that would have meant the next one was October, right in the middle of a storm of local(ish) tournaments and so we changed plan slightly.
The cost is slightly higher this time, but that is to cover the pack of 7 Special Play cards all attendees will receive. These cards are all names and themed around coaches who have taken part in the first 4 events. They are -
* The event winners (Phlsmth, Porky, Landrover and Heartsbane)
* The series current leader (Cornish)
* The highest placed local coach (Everybodys_Dead_Dave)
* The only coach other than those above to have attended all of the events so far (Alatos)
Each round coaches will draw 2 cards from the 7 created. They may play one card per half. Those cards then go into an envelope and they draw 2 of 5 cards in the next round and so on. This means, there will only be 1 card unused per coach on the night.
This is your last chance to win one of the BB7s tournaments this year in Cheltenham and for some people to make their mark on the Leadership board. There are about 4 coaches who can catch Cornish to be the overall series winner.
At 7 Card Brag who will end up with the bragging rights?

Interested. Am I one of the four coaches on Cornish’s tail?

For clarity, the coaches who could overtake Cornish and win the 2018 series are -
* Jip
* Landrover
* canteloup
* Sann0638
There are 2 coaches who can't overtake his points score, but they can tie Cornish on points -
* TheBymster
* Wobert
If we end up with a tie overall then the tie breaker will be Touchdown and casualty difference combined. At the moment on that score alone Jip, Landrover and TheBymster all have a decent lead over Cornish. It's all to play for!

No . . . . and there are some surprising races not to have been played yet. I was planning on bringing all of the following and using one to fill a gap.
No-one has played -
* Dwarfs
* Necro
* Nurgle
* Undead

You then went 2 wins and a draw. . . . foiling my cunning plan!sann0638 wrote:What? I asked the question and you said Khemri, so I took Khemri! I call shenanigans!
Actually at the time of me answering the question originally, no-one had played Khemri at BB7s worldwide. Since then you top a gang of 3.

Here are some pictures of the special play cards that attendees will be getting -
There are 7 in all.
All of the cards are based on coaches who have won a previous BB7s night or who have done well.

Re: IGBB Presents - 7 Card Brag / Cheltenham / BB7s / 22nd N
For clarity . . . . . even though Leader and Pro have been banned at previous events, it seems that under NAF rules we aren't allowed to ban them (before anyone points out the NAF document on BB7s says to ban Leader . . . . I know, ignore it).
Therefore you can take Pro or Leader if you take a team which is allowed a skill. My honest feeling is that its totally against the spirit of the game . . . but I can't stop anyone from taking it.

Hmm, this is weird. Assume you've raised it with the rules review chaps? Might change in the next week!Wobert wrote:For clarity . . . . . even though Leader and Pro have been banned at previous events, it seems that under NAF rules we aren't allowed to ban them (before anyone points out the NAF document on BB7s says to ban Leader . . . .
