Want some REALLY nice VERY VERY RARE stuff ... here you go
Zy-nox asked me how I got those rare teams in my collection. One of them was trolling for special sales on the internet.
The Virtual Alchemist is having their summer sale. There are many, many beautiful and rare figs for sale ... including a Chaos Snakeman DeputyDawg if you are reading this.
There are a ton of high quality painted figs as well.
Its a blind auction so there is no gentleman's agreement for these items.
Highly encourage you to check them out:

Ohhh ... and to save you sometime if you only are interested in BB stuff. There is one BB item up for auction. The Original Artwork for the Star Player cardboard card in the 2nd edition hardcover rule book ...
Click here for the BIG view : http://www.virtualalchemist.com/auction ... sBBART.jpg
Details of this item:
Blood Bowl Chaos Mutant
Lot #VASS-A004
Paper Size: 15”X8.75”
Image Size: 6”X7.25”
Medium, India Ink, Graphite and watercolour pencl on Illustration Board

This image was used as one of the component cards in the BloodBowl boxed set.
Sooooooo if you want a ONE OF A KIND piece of Blood Bowl History get your bid in the door ... auction ends July 9th.
OH and if someone here wins this thing, PLEASE let us know ... I like to know where the pieces of BB history go.
By the way I was not planning on bidding on this item unless you guys let it go for a steal and then I'll be forced to get into the bidding.

Last day of the auction .... at $40 its a deal.
I'm not bidding on this for my collection as I'm hording pennies for other purchases for my museum .... have a lead on one of the items featured in BB Compendium #1 for my collection.
By the way, the statue on the front of BB Compendium #1 is for sale for anyone wanting to part with 3000 BPS for it. I was asked if I wanted it a while back and that was a "little" bit out of my price range for the museum ...
Anyway, if you'd like a piece of history ... today's the last day.

Erm... just took a look on my bank account... sorry, I don't have 3000 GBP for it (only 2990, it's too stupid... missing it for 10 GBP, it's silly ).
I suppose it's a normal price for an exceptional highly rare item... But i would never spend this money for it...

OK, lets take a look on this compendium ??? (took the voice of sherlock holmes)... Erm...
- Deathblow ? A nice addition, but wouldn't need cash restrictions as said before...
- "Leaping lizards" team ? Should be a solution...
- "take you seats please" grandstand ? Hum, very possible ...
- Forest folk team... why not... same probabilities than lizardmen...
- the skavens and halflings teams on the back cover... not a penny on it.
OK, I'd choose the grandstand

NEW INFO !!!!!!
The Virtual Alchemist just told me that the winner of the auction will be allowed to purchase other originals from 2nd edition for the same price as their winning bid of Withergrasp.
The other original artwork prints that the VA has are:
Dieter Hammerlash
Eldril Sidewinder
Tuern Redvenom
Slarga Foulstrike (or Fourstrike)
So if you won Withergrasp for say $45 .... you could get any to all of these 4 at $45 a piece as well.
These are the original pieces of artwork used to make the Star Player cards in the 2nd edition Star Players hardcover .... lot of BB history here ... go bid now ... today is it for this auction.

tuern redvenom is a nice one...
I'm not sure I would be interested in... to be true, I would be interested in redvenom one, but not in the other
blood bowl history has so many aspects it's really hard to collect them all ! (unreleased minis, artwork, etc...).
In order to come back on the subject, I didn't know starplayers cards requires an artwork like those ones sold by virtual alchemist...
BTW, by knowing your love (yes, I think we should talk about love in this case of Blood bowl history, it should be a great priority you're on... please keep us informed !!!

Of course I would guess they need a greater picture before (just took a look on the cards... Nearly impossible to draw like this with a so little scale ... But what I would never guess without your topic is the fact it has been made on a highquality paper, and considered by GW like artwork (ie not thrown away after using this for making starplayers cards). For a firm who has thrown away some Eavy Metal painted teams, it's a little bit.. surprising !
