I have converted my own Skaven team from the new plastics, including throwers and a dirty player and a gutter runner in the 'throw the ball to ME!' pose..
Sadly, only one guy is painted, but they do look much more characterful than their pewter counterparts, and much cheaper at the end of the day as well...

Our commish uses some Skaven plastics (I think the WFB and Mordheim sprues are the same aren;t they?) for some of his guys, they look great.

I have a week off work before the 'dam tourney so I'll see if I can't get my Orc team - 50% of which are conversions (read - weapon snips) from Plastic Orc Boyz + 25% WFB black Orc weapon snips, plus their coach, a lightly converted Boarboy - finished and bring them along.
I'll still be playing my dwarfs though. I just got a couple of blisters of Drunken Dwarf minis from Black Tree Design ( http://www.black-tree-design.com/pictur ... =uk&lng=gb ) to use as fans....which means that the entire team should be up over 50 models by the time I get to Amsterdam....

John, I don't collect everything under the sun ..... and I've never considered my collection as valuable. If he got his conversions published in BBM ... cool I'm interested. Beyond that I need to save my money for the Khemri team coming out soon and Phil's Thrower and Catcher Valkyrie figs that he's working on.neoliminal wrote:Oh wait... Hey Galak! This guy is starting a new trend... I bet you should get this team. It's going to be valuable as a collecter's item. (heh heh)

Ahhhh... Thradin ... Black-Tree minis ... have some great figs for BB.
My favorites are the Treemen:
http://www.black-tree-design.com/pictur ... =us&lng=gb
and the Rat Ogres:
http://www.black-tree-design.com/pictur ... =us&lng=gb
ALL of the figs in both of these ranges make great BB figs and they don't even need conversion ... sweet!!!!

About Black Tree products: I know the treeman, but not rat-ogres... Really seem made for blood bowl...
By taking a look on ebay, I saw this team... I was very impressive first, especially by the catcher and thrower (skelettons)... Those poses are soooo nice ! But after taking a complete look, I must admit shoulder pads would have needed more work, maybe... Or not made, maybe. Even if the global idea is it's a good team.

Not too crazy about the Rat Ogres but those Treemen are wicked!

I agree with Ant here, the Rat Ogres look, well, wrong basically, but the treemen are excellent..
On the undead converted team, I think what I like most is the imagination. The execution is good, but it looks like the guy still uses milliput when most converters moved onto green stuff a few years back. I think that's why some of it looks a bit "plastered" if you pardon the expression
