Thread should still appear in the same manner in New Posts and Your Posts filters.

How do you navigate the site? - not a dig, genuine request whether something different should have been done for a post very arguably in the wrong thread.

i don't argue that the thread should have originally been in this forum, but an argument could be made that a 6 month old thread that is associated with more than a little controversy might have been best left in it's original forum until things were resolved. i too thought it had been deleted until i actively searched for it.

but i also understand that mods just try to do their jobs the best they can, sooooooo......

Every day is a school day, I've never thought of navigating around the forum using the View your posts function. I'll start doing that from now on.

As other have already said, I too thought that the thread had been deleted. That it was simply mod housekeeping, rather than skullduggery at work is both a relief and a disappointment.

I was not at all familiar with the New Posts or Your Posts features, but might use them now. I just go to the three forums I have interest in.

Same here. Usually only peruse a four of the forums on any kind of regular basis. Fortunately, General Chat and For Sale are two of them.

Cheers Guys, I think there is an option to leave a 'ghost or shadow' or something if a topic is moved; I also live and learn :). I'll try and avoid causing undue heartache wherever possible... Good luck to all with resolution of the basic issue here (rather than mod related housekeeping issue).

Weird, I thought there was a 'subscribe post' option on this forum but I don't see it. There is the " Notify me when a reply is posted" option when you post, so maybe that's what I was thinking of.

I learned two new things:

1) didn't know people didn't use and didn't know about 'your posts' and 'new posts' (I use it for every forum I'm on)
2) didn't know people didn't Ctrl+F things they look for on a page before asking

Touche!

I'll chalk it up to dealing with a toddler who has been waking us up from Midnight to 5am every night. And then having to go to work at 6am...but you're right, I should've used the Ctrl+F!

Back on topic, How has everyone else fared with this issue?
Sadly, communication with BfG has ceased.

I, fortunately, have Paypal as an intermediary. I have enlisted their help.
I am owed US$150.01.

Same here. I also feel bad for having offered everyone a glimmer of hope for things being sorted, sorry for that.

I suspect that I'm out less money than most, although it represents a big chunk of my hobby budget.

I shouldn't have sent the money friends and family, that's a lesson learned.
