Any such thing as a schedule builder?

Post by SBG »

Where I could put the amount of teams and the number of games and have the software all sort it out?

Free, as possible?

Hi Fred,

What are your requirements? Do you need home and way games accommodate or just 16 teams play 10 games, slot them in wherever?

In a best case scenario, it would do home and away.

But a could live without...

I do it the hard way - manually. With a 24 team league over a 10 game season, while balancing finesse vs. bash and an equal number of home games and away games. And a 2nd smaller league that runs alongside, heh.

It takes an hour or two, but I haven't found any software that can do it as well, so I figure a couple hours once every 6 months isn't that big a deal to have the league run the way I want it to.

We do different divisions, English Premier Style, with unbalanced schedules. Every season I adjust based on the number of teams but it's all done in a spreadsheet and I just find and replace everything. Then comes the daunting task of entering it into OBBLM. For this much customization it has to be manual, which is unfortunate.

But it's worth it.

I picked up one of these for the league for tournaments

For our league the commissioners do a team value and players ability to set up divisions, and we also play cross divisional matches.
