There is definitely a league in Leeds which isn't too far I guess.

Thanks for the replies.
I work near Leeds so always a possibility, but I know a few BB players in York - just need to rally them

Cheers

Don't worry I've just done the same :) You're west of York and north east of Wetherby (nice fish and chips).

Where are you thinking about running the league? Is it in York itself and it is it every Wednesday? I work away for a bit so every week may be difficult.

Doncaster has a league but it's on a saturday which is a bit inconvenient for my wife :( so I'm looking for more options.

Just back from hols
Last time I did a league (2015) the guys liked to play their other games so people are comfortable with at least one game a month, but you can play at your own speed.
To work it better is to have smaller divisions (like in the Death Zone rules) 4 - 8 teams in the division, but only play once. Some players who do badly in the 1st or second game give up. I am hoping with OBBLM and some incentives to complete division matches will keep them playing.

The two clubs are in York, but trying to do what we did in Sydney (SLOBB) where people played at various venues or even their homes (blokes night in with beer and pizzas).

We should meet up over a game

an update to this topic.
I did create a YOBBS league for our local club and starting a 3rd season next year.
Facebook: York Online Blood Bowl Shambles (YOBBS)
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1588306114596664/

Is has attracted some good BB players who are now playing in the UKTC and various nearby NAF Tournaments
