WoWLoF

Having started in 2016 WoWLoF is a genuinely fun filled, fluff driven and competitive league based in Wolverhampton but attracting players from Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Black Country.

Fixture are split across 16 weeks - split into four 4 week periods, to give players maximum flexibility in arranging their schedules. An element of seeding is also used to ensure that veterans have a challenging experience and rookies play games that they genuinely have a chance to win. We also run several sets of play offs to make sure everyone has at least an outside chance of winning something and records are kept of individual player achievements - so that the players become part of the story.

The league uses BB 2016 and subsequent supplements as its base rule set but with adjustments so that cards, stadiums etc are optional if both coaches wish to use them.

Whilst run with an Iron fist by myself the league is blessed with active and engaged coaches who run the website, live stream games, write previews and turn up to watch even when not playing.

From September 2018 we'll be running an additional, supplementary competition aimed at those we are seeking a less structured format, which will use the open format and be resurrection.

There is some conjecture on the exact pronunciation.... If you find last seasons final or semi final on YouTube there is some discuss in commentary between Tom and I....

There's also some comment that we bare more than a passing resemblance to Jim and Bob....

Serious and Im probably biased but the league really has created an amazing community - with an incredibly and almost constantly active Facebook page.
