List of NAF dice colours

I feel your pain.

My thoughts are that the dice are the silver lining in the cloud. Keep them in memory of the good times.

So my girlfriend just left a while ago to drop off some stuff that I'd lent to her (shirts, books, etc) as she had decided she couldn't be with me anymore and had found someone else.

It turns out she had also asked a friend of mine for Purple NAF dice he had won at a tourney that I've been wanting for a while now, and he had just given them to her to give to me. No money was exchanged between any of us.

It was the single best/worst moment of my life. I'm still debating if I should keep them.

Deal directly with the person who she got the dice from directly.

Getting dumped sucks. If there is a man or woman here who doesn't know your pain, we should all smack them as they've clearly been the ones dealing out the pain

Getting you the dice you want could be viewed as her way of trying to lessen the blow, and show she doesn't hate you.

Personally I would keep the dice, and frame it in my head as a good bye gift from someone with whom I had good times, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Cool post! I just realised the last time I joined the NAF it was back in 2004!! WTF?!

(I know some of you guys have been kicking around a lot longer than me, but in my own world that's quite shocking).

I still need the purple dice (and black) but have no idea what I'd do if I got them that way...

Maybe trade them for someone else's purple set? Even trade and you get dice that do not have that memory tied to them. The other guy still has purple dice - win/win?

I'm more or less past it all now, but thanks everyone for the thoughts. I think I'll end up using them regularily, since my Underworld team matches. Maybe I'll make some kind of "ball-and-chain" or "anchor" pouch to put them in.

Used the new silvers in a match the other day - impossible to read so I ditched them before halftime. Cool to have them in my set but will probably not use them anymore. All NAF dice should have white or black inlay in the future, one or the other, to make them easier to read.

In my opinion. I am available for color consultation for future sets, Lycos and fellow NAF Intelligencia. And my consulting rate is VERY competitive...as in it's exactly nothing.

Yeah, those new silvers are almost impossible to read... which is sad since it's a really great color!
