NAF Website Updates

Post by Purplegoo »

Dear members,

You may notice that some new things are appearing on the NAF membership website.

Firstly, there is now a coloured status bar at the top of the ELO rankings page. We’ve been doing some work to repair and improve our games database, and we’ve found that a daily, automated rankings recalculation is the most efficient way of keeping the results and rankings correct and up to date. The new status bar explains if the rankings are ‘updated’ (green) or if an update is in progress (red with a completion ETA). You shouldn’t notice anything is amiss here unless you log-in to check you rankings between 8 and 9 am GMT, when the update takes place. If your numbers looks strange to you, please wait until the status bar turns green and check again.

Secondly, you may notice new variant categories (Dungeon 7s, Deathbowl 7s, Specialist and Draft) and a new race (Draft) have appeared / will appear in various drop-down boxes in the rankings areas of the site. Following a review of our supported variants, we are adding four new types of Blood Bowl to those that can already be NAF sanctioned, and these new categories / the new race are necessary for this project. When we are ready, there will be an announcement directing you to new rulesets and inviting you to start enjoying new Blood Bowling opportunities, but until then, please just ignore the new fields. To head off an FAQ; the Draft ‘race’ will only be available in Blood Bowl Draft tournaments. If that doesn’t mean anything to you right now don’t worry; wait for that ruleset! We hope to bring you news on this very soon.

Any questions or issues, please let us know.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.
