I found interesting your comments about certain Dark Elf team names being "too obvious". While keeping in mind that the Pittsburgh Steelers is maybe the most obvious team name ever, while also being one of the best ever, I tend to agree with you. Some communities choose team names that reflect who they are, but I prefer names that reflect what they aspire to be.

(Come to think of it, New England Patriots is pretty darn obvious too

Sometimes when I say too obvious it is also because I can see someone else naming their team the same thing as mine. I know its likely to happen that teams are named the same, which is why I try to come up with something different yet fluffy.

Oh and by the way, yes - Hicksville is a real place. Ironically, it's nothing like a Hicksville you'd expect:

History: Valentine Hicks, son-in-law of nationally famous abolitionist and Quaker preacher Elias Hicks, and eventual president of the Long Island Railroad bought land in the village in 1834 and turned it into a station stop on the LIRR in 1837.
