Point taken, but I know a lot of people who hate all caps. "Shouting" bugs a lot of people.

I'm happy as long as the signature doesn't "jump" on me everytime I see a persons post.

Just here to let you know I have made a comment on the SIG's at the RCN. Let's hope they get less flashy. If not, just BOING in again! :smoking:

personally i keep my sigs 3 lines max and in small font with exception of seasonal ads like the tournament line). Still makes a point, but is not longer than an average post.

Don't we all love those smiley + 8 lines of sig posts? :-?

Pictures larger than a smiley or colors in the signature are not OK imo.
Using oversized Avatars is perfectly acceptable of course :D

After some time on the boards at Wizards of the coast's site I'll never ever complain about the sigs here ever again. :?:

But constant surveillance, vigilance and endless nagging is required to prevent this forum from slipping to that same direction! :D

Some of the avatars are getting waaaay OTT IMO. Why? It's not 'cool', it's bloody irritating.

Modem be arsed, it's not about speed..it's about things leaping around..coupled with massive posts with one line of text, leading to less posts per page..resulting in more scrolling and more clicking for less content...
I'm not saying nothing should be animated, neither am I saying everything should be 80 pixels high max...but c'mon, it's getting ludicrous lately.

I agree. I particularly dislike the huge dancing/running ones. It's just a chore trying to read posts while the pirouetting man/thing/whatever on the left of the screen keeps grabbing my eye.

Image Is this ok as an avatar?
Image Well it's not much worse than this..
Image So it'll be ok as long as the two never converse?
Image Yep, otherwise we'll have...
Image ..very few lines per page?
Image So this isn't actually clever....just big...

I mean c'mon, sort yourself out people.
