The results for that poll were:

49% for keeping the 2019 tiering
29% for having an alternate tiering
22% for no tiering at all

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

People selecting the ‘alternate tiering’ option were asked to elaborate but (iirc) only one person did. They suggested the 7 tiers that UKTC are running with next January.

I'm probably going to be controversial here, but will NAF Champs teams required to be painted this year? Perhaps even enforced or made clearer as a requirement for entry? No more all metal teams, or just primed. This is a major after all!
With Contrast paints out then now then there's even less excuse not to paint teams!

As a TO I've thought about this a few times with my own events. The problem with a blanket ban on unpainted mini is that its a barrier to enter, not everyone can has accesses a painted team. Personal I prefer playing with 2 painted teams, but if the event is meant to be open to everyone the fewer restriction the better. The way I deal with it as a TO is to a lend out teams (or anything else) and to have painting as a tiebreaker, that way it hopefully wont make much different on the lower tables with the new coaches but theoretical someone could drop place if there team isn't painted.

The only restrictions on the miniatures from last years' NAF Champs was that they were miniatures rather than proxies and painted, clearly identifiable and appropriate for people of all ages. So this isn't a new rule. It just wasn't acted on. Wotfudboy's last game of the NAF last year was against an unpainted team - and as it was on table four it's not like it was miles away from referees walking past. This is all sounding overly harsh on the ref team though - and they did a brilliant job so I'm not having a dig at them. It's more that everyone attending really should try to have a painted team with them. Don't have a painted team? Borrow one from your mates / ask the refs / post on TFF. Maybe just paint one in between now and the eight months until the event. It's THE NAF Championship - the major Blood Bowl tournament after all. It's supposed to be special.

My post from 2015 feedback.....

http://talkfantasyfootball.org/viewtopi ... 6&#p731056
- The rules pack clearly states "There is no restriction on what miniatures you use in
your team as long as they are miniatures (not proxies) and are
painted, clearly identifiable and appropriate for people of all ages." Several non-painted teams were present. Not sure what you can do to enforce that on the day, maybe dock a point, but why have the rule if it's not enforced?
This is not a new subject. :(

I have played against an unpainted proxy team at the NAFC before. My eyesight isn't the best, so it was a tad confusing.
I'm unlikely to reach the heights of table 4 (although an admin error once meant I played at table eight...), but playing a painted team is definitely better than playing an unpainted or primed one.
I agree that it is difficult to enforce, but in the past I have lent a fully painted team to someone who requested one on this forum.

I think the only difference this year will be an explicit statement regarding eligibility to win ANY prizes if your team in unpainted. Enforcement is quite difficult when people are paying to be present, but we will be more proactive this year.
