Re: Halfling Challenge 2017
'Timmm-ber!' says 'the dice roll to stand up', it doesn't distinguish between that die being an agility roll or not?
Reason: ''
'Well it's the Verbal Herman Munster, word enhancer, sick of phony mobsters controlling the dance floor. I'm in those dark places, catch you when you're stark naked, your heart races as I bump you for your chart spaces!'

Re: Halfling Challenge 2017
So, the counter arguement is that I'm not rolling the AG to stand up, I'm using it to throw a block.
But as part of that block I am standing up, and that is the roll I'm making to stand up, and Timmber lets me add +1 to any die rolled to stand up?

I'm not actually sure I have a point, I'm sure I had a point, I'm not actually sure I had a point, or which side of this arguement I'm fighting for.
Timm-ber rules read like the current interpritation of Take Root?
Timmmber uses the word 'after'?
So do we read that as 'the turn after', much like the way root is read as 'placed prone' rather than being prone.
So you can only use Timmber for a single turn after the Treeman has gone down, after that you're back to 4+?
Timber isn't as bad as Root, because it doesn't buff Woods in the passing.
I am just asking questions and looking for answers, don't actually care either way.

Fair play, I'm similar!
Rereading take root. The roll is to complete the Block Action. If you pass the roll you stand up for free, so I'd argue again that you are not rolling to stand up.
That been said, I can't find the timmmber rule so only going from memory.
Like you said, one for the refs!

This whole thing falls apart when you consider translations of the rules in foreign languages, when we're talking about the finer points of the English language.
I'm pretty sure that other languages haven't stolen enough sentence structure from everybody they ever met to rival our niggling nonsense.
It ire's me.

That is strangely hypnotic, even if I do look like a panda with a penis shaped mark on his forehead...
