NAF Championship 2023 Prize team

Am starting work on a Black Orc team for the NAF GT this year.

Here's the first batch of Goblins using the standard GW models. Went with a slightly brighter scheme; blue armour with orange decoration, grey clothing and silver details. Am going to do a full team of 16, then as many stars as I have time for.

Will the Black Orcs be green or black?

I'm planning on making the skin of the Black Orcs dark green as well as a colder shade than the goblins.

Added the 2nd batch of goblins, same models but with some parts from Grots and the normal BB goblins added in.

Last of the goblins done, these ones use Grot bodies with parts from the normal and black orc goblins.

First batch of Black Orcs done. They have a lot more armour and it really shows that orange was probably not the best option to pair with light blue. White would be the obvious choice, but that is a scheme I have used a lot before. I might try to lighten it up or make it more yellow to make the difference more obvious if I have the time.

I've finished the last of the Black Orcs now. These have some conversions to ensure all models are unique, arms swaps for 2 of them and some AoS bits to make the team captain.




Will be starting on the Troll next, then it'll be however many star players I can fit in. Starting with the Black Gobbo.

Troll is done now, so that's the full team of 16 completed, aside from varnishing.

Am going to start work on the Black Gobbo next and maybe Varag if I have the time.

The Black Gobbo is completed, he got a slight more yellow orange that I like a lot better.

Varag has been finished, and with him done the team is complete!

Still need to do a few things like take more pics, varnish and wrap them up, but otherwise done well ahead of schedule.

Team is all done, fully varnished and safely packed up ready to go.
