Is a minotaur worth it?
Hi there!
Me again with a question for my Chaos dwarves
Is a Minotaur worth the money, especially with wild animal? I already have a Bull Centaur, plan to buy a second one, and I have to agree that my main goal is to have the fewest hobboes on the field. Only a couple to pick up the ball, pass it and catch it ! What do you think ?

A Minotaur is just a poorer version of the Rat Ogre in my opinion, a major liability even whne its gets to the stage of having Bloc and Pro. I play Chaos Dwarfs, and i'm saving up for a Troll instead, to occupy the front line and free up more of my Chaos Dwarfs, to make some serious damage to the opposition. What about really stupid, hell that only comes in iof you actually make a block with the fella, my plan most of the time will be to occupy the front row, and maybe therefore negate the other teams big guy. Against a minotaur blitzing, no problem, knock my troll down, fantastic then your minotaur is in a position where he'll be causing you turnovers rather than me worrying about him. Only successful way of playing is to keep him back in defence, but then its an eternity getting enough SPP's just to make him competitive.

Take the minotaur. Personally the only reason i never did on my cd team was because of fluff, they dont belong on cd team, but thats just the way i am.

Bovine yes, Minotaur is strictly beastmen tho, chaos human not chaos dwarf. But thats just how i do my teams, i have codes of honor with who i put on my teams. For instance i will never have chaos warriors on my orc teams or high elves on a human team. I dont think a chaos warrior wants to work for some greenskin moron (cw point of view) who isnt bonded soulwise to a chaos power and i dont think any high elf would deign to work for humans. Just my perspective.

Yeah, entirely agree with the ally thing, but as far as big guys go, a mino has to be the most apt for CD from a fluff point of view. Lammasu are also mutated from bulls, so there's 3 bull mutations in their WHFB armies.
Even their god Hashut is bull shaped! So my thinking is that if they're going to take a big guy, the choice is obvious, which is exactly why our CD team has a mino! Just a different way of looking at it I guess...

Yup ... Minotaur go in the Backfield NOT on the line of scrimmage.
Good normal skills .... Block, Pro, Break Tackle, Tackle, Strip Ball, Pass Block (those are the ones that I like).
Double ... gotta love Claw or Razor Sharp Fangs ... or if you want a really scary handler ... try Big Hand ... a Minotaur with any type of helpers running down the field is hard to bring down (its risky but fun).

Just one more vote in favor of the mino, since my own CD line-up sports one. Actually, I've got the mino and both bull centuars; so given that all of my teams have their own fight songs, the CD games always open up Rage Against The Machine's "Bulls On Parade" and Kid Rock's "I Am The Bullgod".
