Ch 14 is now up - a few days later than I planned - but up now nevertheless.

Work is still continuing...

and, to show that we really don't mess with people's minds (well, much) and we aren't just another interweb scam based in Nigeria, the book is at the printers!

Yep, that's right. Feudball is being published.

And to celebrate - here's the blurbs from the back of the book for you:

And it's not too late to pre-order, and there might be a small price rise from the pre-order price to buying a copy when they're printed (as well as not getting a signed, limited numbered copy) - so why wait? Pre order! (plug, plug).

The plan is to have the book to ship by the end of July.

Damn you. I went and read the first 14 chapters and will now have to finish it. Will there be an electronic version made available somehow?

Sorry -we're only putting the first 15 chapters up electronically. The 15th is yet to go up - and will likely coincide with the novel finally being in my hands ready for posting and not just pre-order.

However, well done for reading the first 14. Interested in your thoughts about the book so far...

I'm enjoying it a lot. It is a nice light read that is 'hard to put down'. The story of the hapless main character as his life takes unexpected twists and turns is great and the Feudball games on top of that are an extra bonus. At first I kept thinking, "Where is the Feudball?", but I got into the story of Alex. Then when the games do begin to appear they add to the story without trying to carry the entire novel/plot, which would be challenging and perhaps a recipe for disaster.

To clarify on my comments about an electronic version, I was hoping for an paid electronic download version, not a free copy of the whole novel. If not I'll look at picking up the paper version.

Thanks.

I don't think I need to say more than this:

although this might help some:

Image
(the book size is larger than the smallest size book, but is a standard paperback size, about the size of a DVD / game - 135 x 200 mm to be precise)

... and I'm not taking any more pre-orders - only orders from now on!

Update:

I am trialling sending a couple of the books now overseas (I'm bending a few rules as I'm counting the book as 'documents').

I will then send the others - although those who ordered more than one copy, I should be able to post ASAP as I need to post those differently (darn book weighs more than 250 grams - 321 to be precise).

Update:

*All books to NZ and AUS have been shipped.

* All books to everywhere else in the world (except for Dennis Bolin and Impact, who I've shipped as they are large orders) I have been trialling trying to send the books as 'documents' (It's a book for crying out loud).
However, the early signs are not good - the tracking is not showing that they have been shipped, or indeed any information at all.

I will need to resort to another method of shipping if these two do not show up ASAP. This is more expensive for me and will drive up the price of shipping on the website (people who have already paid I will honour the price they paid, even though I will make a loss).

I cannot get over how expensive it is to ship the books! This is mostly because the book breaks two 'breakpoints' in the shipping:
1. It's thicker than 20mm
2. It weighs more than 250 grams.

This makes shipping D@mn expensive from Oz. Grrr.

Just a confirmation (as I mailed you as well) that I received the book you've send as document. Thanks for the signed book.
