:(

That's too bad...
I know that wasn't the brightest end of the league, but you know what?
The fans are still with the team! :D

And we're sure the chef will bring fantastic new recipes...
I mean... the team will do a lot better!

In the head of Entre Coat

Speed. I’m pure speed. They may be taller, they may be faster, but I’m speedier!
So, focus, it’s about to happen. An encouraging smile to Bob, make sure not to touch Pork, an acknowledging nod to Lenny. Let’s go out to the field.
Wood elves. They are taller upclose. It doesn’t matter. Because I’m speedier. The word on the street says that the Willow Warriors are an “old School” team. From the time when they could match a skaven gutter. That fast. We will see about that.
The Coin, we receive.
I get into position. Ready to get the ball and run. That’s what I was born to. That’s what I do. The Ball flies over my head, the giant figure of Deeproot swings its arm and an elf is knocked out. The game is on. I let the Three trees do their job. I have to be ready. As planned Applechin gets the ball and as trained he will move towards me. But he doesn’t. What is he doing? We’ve talked about this! If the ball doesn’t come to me, I’ll come to the ball. I move, not fast but speedy on sure feet. And now I see it’s not Applechin at all. I remember now, Applechin got injured in the last game. This guy is one of those journeys, a loner. He doesn’t know us, it’s risky to get the ball from him. I do the sign and the rest of the team cages him. The wardancer is trying to take us out one by one. But the moving Trees is enough to keep the rest of the elfes at bay. We move forward, relentlessly. And we open the way to the End Zone. And the new guy scores. Not bad for a jouney. But the next is mine.
Second drive. Roughly half of the first half has gone. The elves receive. The thrower is overconfident; he may be agile but has no proper training. The ball bounces and I know it’s just outside my reach but I run nonetheless. I’m not alone, I see Lenny running ahead of me but he doesn’t care for the ball. He goes for the thrower. I don’t know what the rest of the team is doing, probably making sure the trees has something to play with. The wardancer again. He is marked by Harley Ham. I notice how Harley isn’t getting up again but the job is done. He cannot blitz both of us and guard the ball. So he stops by the ball waiting for thrower to get it. I hold my breath. And thrower tries to get away from Lenny. I cannot help but smile while I see how Lenny brings the thrower down with a beautiful diving tackle. And I just run. The wardancer tries to stop me from picking up the ball but I’m too speedy. He tries to tackle me but I’m too nimble for him. And on a pair of sure feet I enter the endzone with the ball. 2-0. Feel the speed.
The last offense before halftime. We line up to prevent a last minute TD. We know how, we've seen this lineup against us many times before. The ball is kicked. the thrower picks it up. The pass is made and the catcher runs with the ball. Damn he is fast! He is really going for it. He chooses to blitz Harley Ham. Ham manages to stay on his feet but gets pushed. The elf now makes a last sprint going for it and reaches the our endzone.

Second half.
The elves drive. We set up and wait. We kick the ball. the Thrower gets the ball and passes to the catcher...again. The rest of the elves leaves the trees. We start to move but the catcher is already past us toghether with the wardancer. We try reach him but he just scores in a very casual manner. As if we weren't there.
What a show off. We need to do something about that guy. I'll talk to Sam.
Our drive. It's kicked deep. Broccoli manages to get the ball but several elves led by the wardancer are within range of him. Pork and his gang sends one of the elves to the dugout and Broccoli tries to take advantage of the small hole created. he still needs to dodge once, twice and then hand me the ball. All good, now I let Leaf know I want to be thrown and....what!?!....CAREFUL!.....you're going to dro......................................... .......................................................................................................................
The first thing I see is a well built babe giving me a not so well brewed potion. It sends jolts trhough my spine. When I look at the field I manage to see how an elf entered our endzone with the ball. I'm in the KO-dugout and the score is 3-2. To the elves great. Great.
The last quarter of the game remains. We need to score and to get rid of that catcher. An Elf gets overentusiastic and it's a touchback. I hold the ball. the trees are in front of me pressing forward. The wardancer leaps over Deeproot but I show him who is the boss. He is down but not out. I signal Sam and he makes the usual over-the-top gesture. Almost as if he wants the ref to see him. The ref does see him but the wardancer leaves the field with him. The elves keep their distance but are still in the way. The clock is ticking, need to fly. Now. I tell Oaky to throw me, hoping he will be more focused that Leaf was. I soar, and land right between two elves, badly. I can see tha ball beside me. I try to get it but an elf beats me to it. Pork and his gang gets him and Cakearm, the new, guy gets the ball. I get up and run to him but not before he is taken down and escorted out of the field. The game is about to end and the thrower send the ball flying to the catcher who then tries to dodge from Lenni. Once again he does his signature move. As the elf falls by his diving tackle I move towards the endzone. I watch as Lenni grabs the ball and runs to Broccoli who is standing next to Deeproot. But Broccoli drops the ball and the ref ends the game. 3-2
One of the better games but still a loss.

Well, I'm not giving up yet...

In the head of Entre coat
The fool of Pork! That little egotripped fasteating son of a dietist! Dungeon of Doom he says! WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE JOIN A TOURNAMENT CALLED DUNGEON OF DOOM?????? This “I’m standing in for the coach”-thing has gone too far! Who does he think he is!
But somehow he managed to sign us up and we have to play. Damn stench! This dungeon really get to you, a kind of doom and gloom that affects everyone. Good thing we have a chef with us. That will keep us somewhat focus even if we forget our training.
First opponent is a dwarf team. Tough, blocking and tackling dwarves. Eight teams, two of them dwarves and we get one of them. But it doesn’t matter. Because I’m much speedier and I’ll show them exactly how fast.

We lose the toss. We set up. I scan the dwarves and notice four players able to handle the ball. I give the sign to Deeproot and point to one of them. He nods and the game is on. They try to gang up on the trees and Okey Dokey falls. A small safe pocket made with the four players I saw earlier forms around the ball just behind a wall of bearded blockers. Deeproot together with Leaf It made sure to hit back whoever was foolish enough to be close enough. Deeproot being stuck with pummeling duty, I take some of the guys and blitz a blocker. He falls and before he manages to get up, Sam comes flying screaming his lungs out and puts his boot on the blocker. He barely felt it. And so it begins.
They advance and blitz a tree.
We avoid and blitz whatever we can, and then foul it.
They advance and blitz a tree.
We avoid and blitz whatever we can, and then foul it.
They advance and blitz a tree.
We avoid and blitz whatever we can, and then foul it.
And somewhere at the end of the half, they score and as I look around only a handful of us are still unconscious. Not bad, they are after all dwarves….

Second Half, our ball.
I’ve talked to the guys, we have to stay out of contact. The trees need to make some damage! The signal blows and we start advancing.
Plan A:
1. Bab picks up a deep kicked ball and we set up a screening.
2. Bab reaches the safety of our “Lunch Box” but we lost Oaky Dokey
3. With only 2 Trees left I give them the sign and we switch to Plan B.
Plan B:
1. I get the Ball from Bab. The box is diminishing quickly.
2. The guys free up Leaf It from any annoying dwarves and keeps them at bay while Leaf picks me up and Throws me.
3. As I get closer to the ground I realize the angle is wrong and this is going to hurt. I cushion the landing with my belly but I nevertheless drop the ball.
4. Since I dropped the ball, it’s time to switch to plan C.

Plan C:
1. Get the ball.
2. Run as hell.
I feel a sharp elbow and when I get to my senses again the ball is gone.
Damn it!
We lost. 0-1(3-8)

In the head of Entre Coat.

Second game is against Vampires. They are strong, and agile. They’re even faster than me. But the gloom affects them as much as anyone here. And we have our chef to keep us focused.
DeepRoot stays with us, I think it’s because Leaf It asked him. Pork on the other hand has spent a lot of time talking to a strange looking guy in a pointy hat. If we survive this tournament I’m going to have a serious talk with him.
We receive.
The trees make sure no one is left standing at the line of scrimmage and I see Pork & Co heading for the blitz. The only thing not going our way is Bab who keeps trying to get the ball off the ground. The vampires react swiftly as expected, we try to stop them from getting through but one of them stared down Deeproot, leaving him in a kind of trance. Before I know it they are between Bab and the rest of the team and Bab is still trying to pick up the ball. The plan is that I stay near Oaky but Bab is about to be hard tackled by what seems to be their leader Vamp and I have to do something. Oakey picks me up and throws me towards the vampire but I miss him and land beside Bab. And from nowhere comes Pork head first crashing into the vampire, effectively knocking it out. Bab finally snaps out of it and picks up the ball but now we are alone against three thralls and two vamps are on their way. Bab gets blitzed but I get the ball. Together with Pork I blitz/dodge my way to the tree line but I realize too late that our numbers are dwindling fast. The vampires know this. Deeproot get hypnotized leaving me wide open for the blitz I see coming. I manage to dodge the blitz but the ball is stripped from my hands. The vamp then continues to pick up the ball despite both me and pork trying to stop him and dodges away taking cover behind the thralls. The only thing between the vampire with the ball and our EZ is now Bab. With no other options, he throws himself against the ballcarrier who barely feels the push. Bab on the other hand feels the vampire pushing all the way to the KO dugout. And then the vampire scores.
Last drive of the half
They don’t have enough conscious players to effectively stop our attempt to score. On the other hand we don’t have enough conscious players to make an effective attempt. Bab is ready to take the ball, Pork and Carrot are covering the sidelines. The three Trees upfront to free up Oaky.and I stand right next to him. Ready for the ball.
The ball is kicked and it flies out of bound, YES. I have the ball, all set. DeepRoot and Leaf clears Oaky from thralls. Oaky picks me up and there I go. Now only the only thing I have to do is land.

Second half.
The gentle voice of a beautiful woman with a tasty brew brings me back to my senses. The second half is way underway and for some reason the vampires are biting their own thralls. The ball remains on the ground and Jake Cakearm, the journey that scored on our game against the wood elfs, is going for it. A thrall tries to blitz him down but is instead tackled by Lenni Lettucce. This marks the end of the drive as Cakearm runs into the EZ with the ball. 1-1 but they can still score if they manage to get past us. But I have an idea.
I gather the guys before the last drive and tell them my plan.
1. The Bloodweiser Babes are sent over to the ref to “serve” him some drinks.
2. With the ref busy, anyone not marked by a player can move freely before he sounds the whistle.
3. There are only two players within range of the ball, a thrall and a vamp. They have to be taken down.
4. Pork, Bab and Sam make a blitz against the thrall who falls putting him out of reach for the ball.
5. I run fast towards the ball
6. Lenni makes a screen between me and the rest of the vampire team all by himself.
7. When the ref starts the drive, we let the guy with the pointy hat send a lightning bolt straight to the only player that can still reach the ball.
8. Now the vamps have only one chance to stop us, and that is by taking me down. So as predicted their leader vamp runs right past Lenni(who has been hipnotized) towards me and I brace myself. But I see the blow coming in good time and I’m able to dodge it.
9. Pork and his gang pushes the vamp away from me.
10. An I start plan C
Plan C
1. Get the ball
2. Run as Hell
3. Make a TD.

2-1(2-2)
I made the TD that brought the Beasts First Win ever! We Won!!!!!
