NAFC time - Dark elves

Post by TheDoc »

Hi All,

This year I'm taking Dark elves. I'm thinking of this build

3 Blitzers, (3x dodge)
2 witches (1 x wrestle, 1 x block)
1 Runner (leader)
5 linemen

2 RRs

1 x Apo.

What do you think??

You have a double available which should probably be Guard on a Blitzer (dropping a Dodge). Otherwise that is what I would take.

So, you wouldn't go for the 4th blitzer and lose the apo?

No. Apo is more valuable IMO.

I experimented with 4 Blitzers / 1 Witch Elf recently. Not reached a final opinion on it yet though.

Max blitzes is a must for me with 2 rr or less. I find the witches can't be abuses if I'm saving rr for essentials and therefore two seam overkill personally. Your plan looks fine, especially if the leader is early

Interesting. What skills would you go for then?
Something like this?

4 Blitzers (3x Dodge, Guard)
1 Witch Elf (Wrestle)
1 Runner (Leader)
5 Linemen
2 RR
Apo
1 FF

Coach instead of FF, but otherwise yes.

That's my planned roster.

Why coach instead of FF (or Cheerleader)?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I ran the numbers way back in the day and found that a Coach/Cheerleader gives you significantly more chance of a Re-Roll than the Fan Factor. By significant I mean only that it seemed enough to discount the potential FAME benefit for things like Pitch Invasion and Throw A Rock. I think so anyway, it being so long ago I might be wrong. Coach over Cheerleader is just a silly aesthetic thing, no difference really. (it seems more 'tactical'). Unless you can have two : one of each is better than two of just one type.

Cheers, I seem to go through phases of reroll/non-reroll rolls on the KO table. Recently no rerolls (Crumb was all weather, Blitz, Rock and PI  ).
