Rolling double 5 on a guard WE lineman???
So, my wood elf lineman with guard just rolled double 5. (Why didn't it happen to my catcher?? )
What skill to choose?
The league only has two games left but the team might be used again later. The next game is against a nasty norse team with three tackle players.
I can't really see a great use of doubles on this guy, as my thinking is, he needs block or dodge to keep him alive and to keep him guarding. Normally I'd take dodge as I like dodge on elves. On a guard player - and considering the upcoming match - I'm thinking maybe block is better, though?
What do you wise people think?
This is my roster as it looks right now. (I've got 90k stash.)

Generally, Guard. Because Guard is a crucial skill, even for just one game: if you are aiming for some trophy, you have to win these last two.
If you plan for long term survival instead of short term victories, you can take Dodge, or Wrestle, since you lack any tackle/wrestle.

MKL has programmed the board to answer elf double questions automatically...
How do you use speed? Is it vital? If so a more mobile guard could be the answer, taking the movement. The other way to get mobility is fend.
If you think the tacklers will be all over you, pro instead of dodge.
Saying all that, looking at the team list you lack tackle - what is the opposition for the next 2 matches dodge wise?

Either Block or Dodge.
If you are going to face a lot of Tackle in the next games, take Block, better than Wrestle with Guard (you want a standing guy if he has Guard), otherwise take Dodge.

Maybe I should use the bot Chris is talking about, so I can sleep some more and write less "doubleskulls" like this

Thanks. That was my thinking as well. Seeing as I'll be playing norse next (in a direct match for the first place in the league):Jimmy Fantastic wrote:This is the right answer.MattDakka wrote:Either Block or Dodge.

If I take Block: I'll go down on all "defender stumbles" rolls.
If I take Dodge: I'll go down on all "both down" rolls and I'll go down on "defender stumbles" from his three Tackle guys.
Block it is.
Thanks all!
