32mm Slottabases

Post by ddancer »

Evening all,

Anyone have a lead on where to get nice 32mm slotted bases? Trying to put a Greebo team on the new sized bases... :)

Impact has 30mm, which IMO are prolly just as fine.

They have a slot in them underneath, which you can cut out, so you have the bases slotted or not, as per personal taste/type of model.

Heresy has 32mm with premarked slot, and multiple brands, like Eccentric or Secret Weapon, have launched adapters (two half rings), so you can convert a 25 with slot to 32.

Are you based in the U.K.? I've brought every new release team (so far...!) and haven't used the bases that come with 'em (mine are on 30mm), so have forty-eight of them that I probably won't use.

I'm in the USA. Unfortunately most of my friends are using their bases from their teams... :/

I'm working on producing 30mm slotted bases that will hold the new BB figures base tabs AND yet sill fit well on the old and new BB boards at the same time (so hopefully a full win for everyone).

GW sells their 32mm bases for 10 for $7. I'm going to try and do better than that for these .. pretty sure I can do a lot better than that.

I hope to be able to have them for sale in a by April.

That's awesome GS. I bought some 25mm slotted bases, but they don't seem to fit at all and would prefer some smaller bases. I probably won't get anything done before April, so I'll procrastinate even more till then!

Thanks ... more of I always tried to fill the niches that are left open for filling.

I just need to get some Procreate in and I can finish the base and get it off to the mold makers ... so probably another week and the master copy will be finalized and off to the mold maker. I'll update this thread as I make progress.

Base design finished.

So as promised ... its only 30mm in diameter so it will fit on easily on both old BB boards and new BB boards. The slotta is designed to handle both old BB figures and new as well without modification to the base tabs.

I have a KickStarter starting March 7th to resize three of our teams up to 32mm scale (Amazon, Pro Elf and Dark Elf) (so great deals and it should fund since just need funding for new metal masters and production molds).

My plan is to have the first stretch goal be making a large production mold to mass produce these new 30mm bases that work with the new figures. I'm working with the caster to make them $10 for a pack of 16.

While the one I'm working on is black in the image ... the final ones will be grey.
