Mod team

Post by lunchmoney »

I'm pretty sure only the site owner, with his backend access (#phrasing) is the only one capable of appointing admins. But admins are capable of appointing mods.

Is it possible to have a review of the mod team? Some of them havent logged on in months, or over a year in a couple of cases.
Maybe appoint some mods who are active?

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

I'll quite happily volunteer to mod the tourney section. I'm in that area all the time :)

What level of internet wizardry would it require?

Aspiring to improve on mid-table mediocrity, over in the SAWBBL.

Fancy an actual one-dayer? Check out The Coffee Cup.

Looking at attending your first tournament? Have a read of this.

I was previously spoken to by one of the TFF team at a TT tournament about whether I would have any interest in 'Mod'ing on TFF, I said I would be happy to but nothing ever came of it - still happy to help if I can.

Loki was added a Mod in response to this request for a refresh of the Mod list. I also updated the list a bit for members that have left us and appear unlikely to return.

Is more active moderation something that is needed?

If it helps move past tourneys to the past tourney area, I'm all for it.

Open applications is possibly the worst way to select new moderators.

Ah, ok... I can see it for that. I just always worry that moderators will get bored and look for reasons to moderate... if only because I've seen that a thousand times. There is nothing so intoxicating as new power.

As opposed to lurking, watching, then slipping an envelope under their door with an address and time and nothing else other than the stamp of a black rose on the envelope...
