Skills for stunties

Post by Pardus »

you can answer this under any or all of these questions

What general skills do you think stunties should get access to?

What general skills do you think stunties should never/rarely get access to?

What general skills do you think make no difference what so ever?

I know block is the obvious no-brainer for one they should only get on a double.

I know dauntless is one they should never ever get.

I'd like to see stunties with atleast some access to pro, leader and frenzy would be fun as hell.

but mostly i was thinking of house ruling a skill group as "basic" skills that no matter who the hell you are you should have equal chance of having.

I think they very much need Sure Hands, Block, Kick and Dirty Player. A couple of positional players with access to General skills wouldn't spoil the balance.

I don't think stunties should have access to General skills (except on doubles).

However, I do think that it would be fitting if goblins could take Dirty Player on a normal skill roll.

I wanna see dauntless frenzy stunties, but i know people who would whine and whine and whine and maybe whine a little more because a stunty beat them up using a skill given to them thru house rules...

The biggest problem i see is skinks, they're not in the same ball park, but they are both affected by this idea.

Dauntless Skink. ?? Coupled with any of strip ball, or +1 Ag,

No-one would ever play anything but Lizards, instant cage breaker.

Okay I'll rephrase that Dauntless on stunty teams is funny.

Gobbos on orc teams and skinks are fine as they are.

I totaly agree (although maybe this got something to do with me playing goblins...): if you'd ask me, what are the dirtiest players in the game I'd probably say gobbo's or skaven; but the fact is that there are only 2 players who can't get dp except on doubles, one of 'em is goblins (the other is halflings of course). not very logicall imo...

Which is why I would rather see a Goblin and Halfling postion player with access to general skills.

Definetly DP on a normal for Gobbos. That was why the REBBL Gobbo Leeg had Bullys 6/2/3/7 Stunty, Dodge 50k G/A

Thats what I was thinking. I think that would be a great additon to the gobbo team but will probably never happen because it adds so little to the team.

Well, REBBL's (or some of us) are hoping to do some play testing on some diferent Gobbo Leeg rules (as the ones from the mag are broken. Fun if you're winning, not nice if on the receiving end of 10 fouls on 3 players :o ) for an article in the Fanatic mag, and the bully will be one of the ones we add in.
