HE/DE have AV7 players as does the Humans.
The 4 mighty blow and guard guys you have will help you out but thats if you have those skills and no tackle.
Just do a run down.
Human Catchers work for the Human team. In my opinion and a few otehrs changing a couple of things on the human team will boost their playability and how good they are.
By having no Strength that also gives you a weakness. Because all other teams will use thier Strenth to beat down your weaknesses.

when i started this post, the first few replys kind of made me feel i was way wrong in thinking human catchers were out of wack. well, i'm glad to see some others see where i'm coming from. lots of new players in my league think they are playing it safe by picking a human team. i think the human team could use some minor adjustment. i also like theidea of bringing back the human blocker...

Its not down to they suck period. Absent as well as others stated that humans finish like 14th place. Only above the joke teams. That means they have a problem or suck. But when looking what is the problem? The ability to be all around good gives you pros occassionally and cons sometimes. When seeing that we think hmmm lets see what could be the problem with the team.
Blitzers, a decent price and a good stats
Thrower, A decent price all around thrower on a non-elven team.
Lineman, A decent price all around decent.
Catcher, An ok price, dodge nice starter, no AG4, and only ST2. Where does this balance the team?
Big Guy, Same as on any team with a Big Guy

and unless i am making letters dance in front of my eyes alone, we've been quite a few explaining why you get these results. FUMBBL is the home of newbies and cherrypickers, among other things. so if newbies first play humans and get torn apart by experienced players, does that mean that the team is too weak ? no it does not.

Agreed. But why is it Orc players that start with Orcs don't see Chaos or Undead as a new and improved team to try to bash harder with.
Also I'll agree with the noobie point about them playing humans. But when it comes to experienced players thinking of a team to try and use what are thoughts is it humans? No not really

not really ? i know plenty of players among the most experienced in www.Francebloodbowl.com who do not think humans are underpowered. in fact, a human team just won the supreme trophy in this league.

Humans are an odd team. They don't do anything particularly well, so they really need to rely on playing to their opponent's weaknesses. This does make them one of the hardest teams to play well. They're not bad at all - they just don't outbash Orcs or out agile Elves.

Just played a tourney with humans. I haven't played them in a long time, but I played without an ogre. Ugh...what a dumb mistake on my part. But everyone's right that they don't do anything great....I failed many dodges, passes and catches with rr's. the 1 in 9 just hit me at the critical times. If humans don't make their opponent switch their style of play then it goes downhill real quick.

Hi all,

The solution is ofcourse to out bash the finesse teams, and out finesse the bashy teams. Trying to beat opponents at their own game is hardly a great idea.
Human catchers fail stuff 1 in 9. That is the way of all AG3 teams, not just humans.
If you really want to give them something, then personally I think that AV8 would be a lot more balanced than ST3.
Either way, I don't care much that humans are low in the fumble ratings. No matter how balanced we make the teams, there will always be teams in the low end (heck, even if we just made a table in alphabetical order).
What is in question is they way they got there - and I don't think they are bad enough to need a change.
Cheers

Ok, so no problem to make them Strength 3 for a roleplay question ?No matter how balanced we make the teams, there will always be teams in the low end (heck, even if we just made a table in alphabetical order).
Humans should not have a strength different to 3, that's all for me, except if you want to play and old grandma as strong as a halfling
