What do you think about auto nigglings when stats decrease?

This just came up in our league:

Several guys are advocating that any player who suffers a stat decrease (by injury or aging) should also receive a niggling. Their argument is: either it's a ST decrease on a muscle player/Lineman or a AG decrease on a ball handler and the player is sacked at once, or it's a MA decrease or an AG decrease that doesn't change anything (Dwarfs etc) and the player doesn't really suffers a punishment by that.

What do you think? I'm uncertain, but I have to admit I have seen many MA and AG decreases that really doesn't made any difference and the coach was happy that he hasn't rolled a niggling instead?

Sounds harsh, its hard enough running teams at High Tr as it is without adding this negative to it as well

I don´t think this is a good rule. As I understand it, the idea is to put some more bad effect on the bashy teams as these are the ones which often do not care about an AG/Ma decrease (Dwarves, Khemri..). But in the and it will be the faster teams which will suffer even more as they do now from this rule as they are the ones getting more injuries as the bashy teams anyway.

You could rule that you can choose to either put a stat decrease on an opponent if you roll that injury or to transform it into a niggle.
That way an Elven coach can choose to niggle a mummy instead of inflicting an AG decrease.

And who chooses at the aging result?

No choice here I would say. There is no real advantage in having a minimum of AG so that this won´t affect you.
Or you could put a note somewhere that, let´s say the mummy, has AG-1 (still counts as AG 1) and when the stat increases it will be 1 again (if anyone will take it instead of a skill). Ok, not the best idea but...

A stat decrease should be a hc enough. With an additional NI then most of the coaches would drop the player immediatelly out of their roster.
