Suicide bomber

A very small tweak to the bombardier rule. Instead of not being able to move before throwing the bomb, the rule changes to "If an action is taken before attempting to throw the bomb (e.g. stand up and/or move), the attempted throw will always be fumbled."

I give you the suicide bomber. :D

It makes the bombardier very powerful.
With a stunty I can make the bomb explode inside a cage 8 times out of 9!
And I can reliably make a side explode with the dwarf (AV 9) with great impunity.

The cost of bombardiers should at very least doubled if not tripled.
Sounds fun but needs a lot of adjustments.

Doesn't the bomber lose the positive sides of being stunty, since he's got a secret weapon?

He does, so the dodging is not a problem.

As Pedda pointed out, a bombardier loses the stunty dodge so can't simply waltz into a cage. Also remember that when the bomb goes off on a fumble the turn will always end, so even though a cage may be partially broken, it will have the chance to regroup - no goblins will be swooping in to pick up the ball.

I see it as a fun but very much a desperation move.

Here's my only attempt at a suicide bomb under the existing rules at my first tourney (CAS in Wellington):
"Doomed to be sent off for wielding a secret weapon, and though well stocked with bribes, elves are more adept at catching bombs than chainsaws and so no more money was to be spent on the bomber this match. The bomber found himself deep in the back field standing next to a psychotic witch elf. Death by with elf? No! Death by bomb! Bomber attempted a long bomb (massive -ve modifiers), fumbled, blew himself up, CAS!, Death! The ref managed to find enough pieces of the bomber scattered about the field to sweep him up and send him off. And the witch elf? Completely unscathed."

I used a suicide bomber once. My opponent had Nurgle and was - for reasons I don“t know - extremly afraid of the bomber. In one turn he had 2 rotters and 2 warriors adjacent to my bomber. I decided to throw the bomb hoping for a fumble, so anything but a 6.
Of course it was a fumble and besides my bomber a warrior and the two rotters went down.
Did not help me in the game but was funny.

BTW: Bombers in my Goblin teams are always called Achmed after the dead terrorist.
