Re-release of old teams?

Post by fe2mike »

Are the old team miniature boxes going to be re-released (such as the Champions of Death)? Or are they only going to release the new teams, Ogres, Khemri, Elves, Nurgles Rotters?

Yes i do believe all the old teams are getting rereleased at the same time as the boxed set. Cost a fair whack more than they did when 3rd edition came out though ;]

There are 2 things:
1/ The minis are available on MO UK and MOUS, with some differences between these 2 "stores" (it seems Thrudd, for example isn't already available in UK... Temporary? As said BigD).
2/ The last time I rang the Trollz, they told me the boxed teams, ie with the nice box and decalcos sheets, wouldn't be available in the future.

Hope it helps.

Can't get Thrud in the US. Also can't seem to get the commissioner's pack either. Stuff was backordered almost three months so I finally canceled the order.

Ordered two Big Boris figs from Heresey and received them within 7 days! They are awsome and in stock. Received extra arms and hands instead of weapons and he even sent two extra balls. The pose posibilities are varied and multiple.

You can still currently buy the 3rd edition teams for GW for £18 each. Not sure but I think when they first came out they were £15.

Still £18 for 12 metal figs isn't bad for GW prices.

As far as I remember the third edition teams were £15 on first release.

I think the second edition teams were £12 though.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

GW and Thrud...

Post by BigD »

Well I've got some VERY interesting news for everybody. I've been trying to get a Thrud to be painted up and hadn't had much luck tracking him down. Rang GW USA and got told don't have it and won't send to the UK anyway (don't ask about that as we won't go there), GW Australia but they didn't have them either (once he finally found the part number that is, even after me mentioning it six times (Kiwi Joke)), GW CA have it but didn't have the other stuff I was looking for but will at the end of the month with the re-release so back to GW UK. Just asked on the offchance as I'm waiting on a few things.

Well bugger me sideways, the person I got knew what I was talking about, found the part number and says 'Which Head do ya want?'. Well that threw me alright so after a minute I confirmed the part numbers and YES Folks there are 2 heads. Didn't know this at all but with GWUK you never know whats going to happen.

Anyway, tomorrow morning the new 'Thrudds' should be here along with the other figures I was after. He's not listed on the site and the only way to order appears to be 'ring the trollz'.

Figured everybody might like to know. Afterall we don't know how long he's going to be around for and how rare he is? Oh and if you're looking for all 3 Saurus's in the UK they've got those two. Just haven't listed them all on the site but grab the GW-CA part numbers and they'll find it.
