Many of the most dangerous scoring players start out with Dodge. Tackle is a necessity, and kick is a good skill for a better defence. I personally like the current rules in which coaches have more leeway to pick skills and there are fewer that you take without thinking first. Moving Dirty Player closer to the broken level it occupied before is a bad idea in my opinion, but your metagame may vary.

Oh, no, I've already started lobbying the rest of the BBRC to have Block become a Trait, too. We're going to leave you with Shadowing as the only skill, because we'd really like to encourage more teams to take it.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".
