How about this for an Elf line-up
0-12 line elves 6 3 4 8 70K G Ag
0-2 catchers 7 2 4 8 80K Catch G Ag
0-4 blockers 5 3 3 8 90K Tackle G St
0-2 throwers 6 3 4 8 80K Pass G P
Re-rolls 50K
How about Blockers instead of Blitzers? They're slower, not as agile, but better at taking down their opponents and have access to strength skills.

I think:
0-2 Throwers 6/3/4/7 80k Pass, Tackle G/P
0-2 Catchers 7/3/4/7 90k Catch, Tackle G/A
0-4 Blitzers 7/3/4/8 110k Block, Tackle G/A/S
0-12 Linemen 6/3/4/7 70k Tackle
0-2 Throwers 6/3/4/7 80k Pass, Tackle G/P
0-2 Catchers 7/3/4/7 90k Catch, Tackle G/A
0-4 Blitzers 7/3/4/8 110k Block, Tackle G/A/S
0-12 Linemen 6/3/4/7 70k Tackle

While we are making dream elf teams, here is my idea:
0-12 line-elfs 6 3 4 7 Pro G A 70K
0-2 Blitz-elfs 7 3 4 8 Block G A 100k
0-2 Catch-elfs 8 3 4 7 Catch G A 90K
0-2 Throw-Elfs 6 3 4 8 Pass G A P 80k
0-2 Block-elfs 5 3 4 9 Block Guard G A S 100k
Re-rolls 50k
Then you could select a variant team.
Wood Elves:
Blockers become Wardancers w/ 8 3 4 7 Dodge Leap Jump Up G A 120k
Blitzes become WayWatchers w/ 7 3 4 8 Doge Stripball G A 100k
Can have a Dryad Big Guy w/ 3 5 2 9 and same skills and traits as a treeman for 110k
High Elves:
They lose the Blockers
Catchers become 0-4 Lion Warriors
Can have a Big Guy (not shure witch one or if they need a new one)
Dark Elves:
Throwers become Assasins w/ 7 3 4 8 Leap Shure Hands G A 100k
Catchers Become Witch Elves w/ 7 3 4 7 Frenzy Dodge Jump Up G A 110k
Can have a Big Guy (not shure witch one or if they need a new one)
0-12 line-elfs 6 3 4 7 Pro G A 70K
0-2 Blitz-elfs 7 3 4 8 Block G A 100k
0-2 Catch-elfs 8 3 4 7 Catch G A 90K
0-2 Throw-Elfs 6 3 4 8 Pass G A P 80k
0-2 Block-elfs 5 3 4 9 Block Guard G A S 100k

Quite possibly confidence is something I'm lacking.McDeth wrote:Martyn you seriously underestimate yourself in the games i've played against you, there was nothing to suggest you dont know how to play the game. Perhaps when yoo kick my ass on the table top game we've been going on about for six months it'll give you some much needed confidence as from what i can see that's all your a little short off
On the other hand, people go on about making sure that you have a back up for when things go wrong. I don't have that... I generally go for a single play - provided the dreaded '1' doesn't come up, I'm ok and score. When the '1' comes up, it all goes wrong (usually with lost of elves in opposing TZs ready to get splatted).
Honestly though the way lots of other guys go on about it, you would think that elves were the easiest team in the world to score TDs with... and it just isn't always that easy. I still remember that it wasn't until the third match with my MBBL dark elves that I managed to score... and that was an incredibly lucky one against Deathwing which relied on rolls of 6+, 2+, 2+, 3+, 2+, and 2+ (and possibly more). Hardly what one would call easy or consistent.
Oh yeah, to be on topic - no, I ain't got a clue what the new elves will look like... perhaps they'll have a munchkin-ish Big Guy?

I'd prefer not having players with access to strength skills also having AG 4. Just think of the blockers as slower, less agile but brutish elves that want to play.Balrog wrote:That's an interesting team Gallowin, but the Blockers would be cooler if they had AG 4.

I don't like any of them. We have 3 elf teams already! Why can't we just have multiple models for the existing ones? The current high elf team, IMHO, fits the hype for these miniatures exactly.
