Something I just realized:

This poll implies that a prone player, as his action can stand up, move about and blitz someone.

We play that a prone player can't block (in the rules) but as blitzing can be considered as 'move-block-perhaps move some more' why would he be allowed to blitz?

Or do I see this the wrong way? :-?

Erm, yes?

Standing up requires movement, so he can't take a Block action because that doesn't involve moving. He can take a Blitz action as that involves movement.

Cheers,
Martyn

OK. But blitz says: 'Once per turn .... A blitz allows the player to move and make a block' (playbook (I think, che cover is gone at the moment) page 9)

The player can't make a block, why could he move AND make a block, sounds strange to me

Don't get me wrong btw, I am just wondering :o

He couldn't make a block because he was prone. Therefore he could move and make a block because he has to stand up and standing up is a form of moving, as it requires 3 squares.
