Just use those black orcs to punch something squishy and get on with it. The more you need a roll, the less likely you'll get it, that's my theory based on rather unfortunate experiences!!!

Actually from experience the knocking people on the floor leads to more casulties, not necessarily for the player but for the team as a whole.
Not causing a TO means your other players can block, and are more likely to cause a casulty as well as the other useful advantages like making it easy to score.
Not being on your arse at the start of the turn again means more blocks thrown.
