Definitely NO. Amazons make a very good short- to medium-term team, while Norse are pretty good starters. Both suffer against dwarves, but then who doesn't. As for Star Players... lots of teams have Star Players who are rubbish, the elven teams for example, and neither can elven teams hire big guys (at least, not the high or dark elves).

No, if anything, GW doesn't like elven teams!

The amazons used to have a star player unicorne. But, when they droped the unicorne big guy, they lost her as well.

So when will she return?

And I do agree, they hate the elf (High and Dark) the most.

He's one of the 2ed figs that are still available from GWMO.

I don't think they have anything against them.... I suspect that they forget they exist because they weren't included in the last rule book (the printed version).

I thought everyone on this site hated star players? I theory, any SP that can play for humans could play for norse or amazon as they are basically teams made up of humans (as oppossed to orcs, dwarves, etc).

Good luck, they can bearly keep up with bringing out new minis for the rules they have now (how long have we had kicking rules without kicker minis?)

stars and secret weapons are such a minor part of lrb rules bb anyway, who cares if they have them one way or the other. Amazons are stilll a REALLY good team, and Norse are pretty good too.

The unicorn was taken away because it was lame. Anything that can't handle the ball under any circumstances doesn't belong on the field. I hope it doesn't come back. If you want them to have a star make one up...say Joan D'ark of Bretonnia, who has +1Ma, +1Ag, and 3 or 4 skills including leader. Whatever.
