Convince Fanatic to design the rules for new teams before producing the figures (or at least get some external views beforehand) - currently they do the figures and then design the rules.... cue Magic Helmets for Khemri all ST 5 Ogre teams etc etc

Great topic Zombie.

My crusade is to keep the current undead roster. I paid quite a bit to acquire a nicely painted undead team (22 figs). I don't like making existing official teams obsolete.

First and foremost to trash Grumbledook at any tourny around, then drinking him under the table at the pub later on. (or during the game)

Secondly, I think I'd like to see a possibility to get AV increases, (after having played BB for a while, I thinks players tend to withstand more damage, (if they survive), just mho)

Thirdly 'd like to fix the PO rules, which are a nightmare with PO RSC minos and RO's. Something like, PO always get's u sent of on 1 one, regardless.

Better distribution of Star Players. Why do orcs and humans get the best selection while others get none at all. Perhaps more leagues would use them then.

Changing PO in one of the many suggested ways to get it to something resembling balance. Then making sure the Ogre team doesn't break it again.

Guess it is keeping the new teams weak/balanced

The improved SP-roll table and the sensible passing procedure are there too.

i cant pick just one!!

i want spps for fouling back
i want dt to be like the old way, but as an ag trait
i want to get rid of the forced catch rule
i want to get rid of these screwed up new teams with screwed up priorities
i want the handicap table fixed/and or cards back in a diminshed capacity

there thats the top 5...that's the best i can do.

why is that such a big deal? the teams that can't have one were compensated...and there are plenty of things that are a no brainer in creating rosters, planning purchases. you gonna start a human team without a thrower?

why does everything in this game keep getting weaker as it goes on. it's going to come to the point eventually where it doesn't matter what skill you take when you get enough spps, they all suck anyway. hell for that matter, why even count spps? they count against your tr and have very little return...not to mention possible aging...why bother getting skills at all?

sorry, just a trend i've noticed around here...you make everything weaker and suddenly something you weakened a long time ago is comparatively too powerful again. i know this is only partly related to your actual point martyn...and i also know that this wasn't necessarily to forum to argue in in the first place...just to set out your 'crusade' (i'll agree with others in commending zombie with a good topic idea)

anyway i'll shut up now.

you could always house rule a few...there were a lot more star players in 2nd ed bb...just bring a few back, or make up your own (esp for teams that didn't exist back then like 'zons)

his point was that as most players take a big guy your almost forced to take one along as a counter measure.

I have had to take a troll on my chaos dwarf team cause at higher team ratings I have nothing to compete against a big guy. Its was ok early on cause i have block and they didn't but now its either take one or suffer to your opponents.

Current crusades, in the order of importance (for me, anyway)

1) Fix Pile On. Either Trait it or give it 1/2 Str bonus, rounded either up or down, dont really care.

2) Better handicap table with no useless rolls (wow +3 fan factor

)

3) No more forced catches/pickups

4) Win at GenCon for the Indiana Boyz (must do Galak proud, must do Galak proud)

5) Get laid this century (marriage blows)

Yes, thank you, Grumbledook, that is exactly my point.

The idea that gaining extra position players on dark/high elves makes up for it is all very well, but I've yet to get enough players to have these extra position players. Perhaps when my teams have played many more games I will be there, but not yet.

I have 2
1) For fanatic to not publish new teams until some basic playtesting has been done, not alot just some.
2) Some more enhancements to the star players, get rid of the chaff, and make sure that the teams that dont have official ones have ones that are worth something.
