Certainly much different from your suggestions. Just leaving it like it is perhaps? Though Ogres should possibly be removed from Chaos, Dwarves, Orcs, Flings and Stunties, and I'd like them to be priced accordingly (dropping that half price for stats/skills above 100k, at least for Ogres). What would you like the Big Guy System to look like ?
The "Big Guy System" should be fluffy and Big Guys by no means must be able to dominate a game.

I just wanted to know about the NUMBERS of Big Guys.
That means in how many matchups and on how many Rosters Big Guys should be common.
The recent days have shown that "The Ogre Debate" hast 1000 Variants and solution suggestions.
THIS IS JUST ABOUT THE NUMBERS.
Like "everyone should have 1"
No Big Guys at all is missing, you are right...

Toby, do you even like playing BB?
If "yes" then why do you want to change so much of the game as to make it an entirely different game
If "no" then why go through so much trouble; you don't have to play BB, you know; there's other games too!

Hey wait a minute ok.
First of all this one is completely off topic. How many Big Guys do you want to see in Blood Bowl ?
Secondly, to answer you. No I hate Blood Bowl and I just work on all these exel sheets trying to reorganise team lists to include Stars And Big Guys and Skill categories and Secret weapons and translate things into german and stuff JUST to piss YOU off.
Now, seriously, I played this game since 1995. The Blood Bowl & Death Zone Editions and Teams i collected are from 1994 i think. Here in Germany, Blood Bowl has been DEAD until April 2003.
Last year the LRB was released on the web, and there are some major changes compared to 3rd Edition. While some are simply good, some are debateabel, and some have been features dropped for strange reasons.
The CARDS. Because the ywere to EXPENSIVE, and customers could not be required to DOWNLOAD them. Oh well, ITS BEEN ONE YEAR UNTIL CUSTOMERS CAN BE REQUIRED TO FIND THE GAME IN A SHOW HERE.
Starplayer converted to Freebooters. The guy in charge for the project took his day off i guess.
sorry, my evil temper got me again.
Starplayers are a feature EVERYONE I EVER PLAYED WITH LOVED AND HATED. In my gaming Group, League, whatever you call it there has always been the efford to try to balance the starplayers.
Now, in the shop where they play Blood Bowl again now since last years summer, people think, LRB sux ass. In fact i received my coppy of 3rd Edition + Death Zone rules today because they plan on using them in their "League".
So I piss people off on the web with my efford to get some stars, and I piss them off back home because I think LRB is the way to go.
You know what, i quit.

Only the degree of ogre-availability is debated, ranging from "leave it the way it is" to "ogres for humies exclusively". There's almost no relation with your poll actually.
THIS IS JUST ABOUT THE NUMBERS. Like "everyone should have 1"
No Big Guys at all is missing, you are right...

The debate is about fluff and game-balance, i.e. ogre-availability.
I somehow have sympathy for your devotion

Well, except for some minor stuff perhaps, like PO and DT before the AV-roll and Passes before Interceptions, things like that.

In Munich? maybe. But Munich does not equal Germany. Move to Hamburg!

Thank Nuffle! The CARDS. Because the ywere to EXPENSIVE, and customers could not be required to DOWNLOAD them.

Well, hasn't it been the same elsewhere?
Fortunately!Starplayer converted to Freebooters. The guy in charge for the project took his day off i guess.

Or, maybe even better, relax perhaps? And accept that the overwhelming majority out there loves the game the way it is?You know what, i quit.
As far as your gaming group is concerned: Our German fellows never like changes of any kind, especially if there's no German Rule Book available. From my experience, that inability to cope with new rules or changes in general hasn't got much to do with the actual rules.

That's exactly the problem here. The poll appears to be somewhat detached from reality and has no actual reference to the Big Guy agenda.Toby wrote:The poll is about how many Big Guys in Blood Bow overall.
Nobody understands your point, since it is not related to reality too much. That's why people have difficulties with your proposals. You come out of nowhere and post many rule changes which suggest that you haven't studied the matter thoroughly, at least not at tbb.com. Therefore, the strong denial to your ideas is merely a most natural response.
