I don't know if this will mean anything to anyone at all, but for those of you who remember the days of the ZX Spectrum may remember a magazine called Sinclair User. I have no idea why it came to mind the other day, but one thing stuck in my mind. The letters page, and the cartoon character they had answering the letters.

SO I've ditched the idea of calling my nippon team the Shoguns. From now on they are to be The Kamikaze Bears.

Spectrums made useful doorstops. C64s and ZZAP64! were where it was at!
Wonder what happened to Geoff Minter and his barking mad camel/llama games...

Aha! It was Jeff Minter!
Look what I found:
http://www.c64gg.com/Minter_Jeff_DL.html

Mama Llama was considered either:
a) Way too complicated, off-beat and not very user friendly.
or
b) One of the greatest games ever!

I always loved Hover Bovver. Simple, highly addictive and pure genius. I'm gonna have to download a C64 emulator now.....won't be the same without cassettes and 20 min. loading times though....

I remember one game on the Speccy (which was WAAAAAY better than that nasty beige lump you're on about) that had a pac man rip off that you could play while the proper game was loading....

I must admit I'm never very creative when I'm looking for a name: I always try to take a name a/ from warhammer world b/ near a famous "real life" team...

For example:

a/ my best preferate orcs team: Da Deff Crushers
a/ and b/ in the same time: Girondins de Bordeleaux (a bretonnian team, name which may used for a human team).

Minotaur: Better than Heifer
Dark Elf: Apocalypse Drow
Wood Elf: Big Gay Aladriel's Big Gay Wood Elves (you won't get it if you don't watch South Park)
Chaos: Mongolian Cluster Flux
Vampire: Fangs for Playing
Skaven: Warpstone Weasels

As I'm sure you've guessed by now, I'm all about the cheesy pun with my team name. I feel like I'm forgetting a few. :-?

Apocalypse DROW? *ROTFLMAO.* That's the best one yet.

Thinking of naming the Chaos team I'll get around to finishing off eventually something along the lines of the Evangelical Brotherhood of Lawlessness and Anarchy (E.B.O.L.A.)

Trying to come up with a good one for the Undead team I want to get - mad scientist, Frank n' Stein theme thing. Graveland Browns is a good name, but the uniforms would be the same as my Orcs.

Apocalypse Drow

Yeah Thanks, I actually use the same name for my Dark Elf Army. They terrorize the Old World from their 2 Black Arks, the "Apocalypse" and the "Armageddon". I was pretty proud of myself for that one too. :)

I have a Dwarf team called the "Dwarfahampton Blunderers" It's a bad pun on Wolves!

I play them in the best spirit. Playing a nice close long ball game! Scary thing is, I've actually won a game! 1 Win - 68 losses. Not bad!
