Its livingrulebook at far as as javabowl allows, so pretty close. Piling one works just as lrb has it.

As for that chaos team he always builds chaos like that. I am sure a lot of the other chaos teams are different.

Pariah the problem with having more deaths in, is it hurts the lower av teams more. My skaven had a torrid time with injuries and leaving the aging tied into the skill progression will still allow players to slip through without aging and then they can't be touched by it after 176 spp. I think a system tied to the number of games played is the best idea.

Christer has recorded how many games every player has played in the fumbbl, so I don't think it would be overly complex to see what the results would be on the EXP system as opposed to the current one. I will have to have a word with him about it.

I still think the MVP system with niggles only for ageing effects and +1INJ for all niggles has merit.

It's gonna hurt the players who gain skills fastest. (Yep them damn skaven and Elves!) The teams who gain SPP's fastest are the same teams who start out weak and become strong. They do happen to be the teams with the lower AV. That's the point. A wardancer with 3 skills is alot nastier than a Black Orc Blocker with 3 skills. The so the wardancer with 3 skills gets an ageing niggle? So what? Maybe 3 games later that +1 to inj gets him another niggle and shortly before he gets skill number 4 he gets killed. Sounds like good riddance to me!

I agree, except I'd like to see aging limited to movement, agility and niggling. +1 to injury for each niggle sounds like a fine idea.

It's not my idea. It was something tossed out awhile back but was quickly dismissed and never taken seriously by the powers that be. I think it has real merit and I'd like to see something simple done with the existing rules but we'll probably get some cockamamey extra column complex calculation rule.

Yup one end game roll for each player based on an extra column is a lot more complex than having to check a roster sheet and add up the niggles everytime during a game you make a injury roll. Yup .. wayyyyy more complex.[heavy sarcasm mode off]

i have to ask this again.

If people dislike ageing so much. What is wrong with Just getting rid of it in your league, without making up some new system of rolling to replace it.

Is the simple solution of just removing it simple? or is it unbalancing something that i dont see?

Some sort of penalty is needed. Otherwise, those wardancers with 4 skills will be unstoppable.

I fully agree that for each Niggling, there should be +1 to the roll. I think it should go against armor though, because the player will feel the pain, but will do their best to stay on the field. Adding it to injury will make them a Pile On target.

Well what I'm saying, Galak, is that the EXP system will be off onto another whole column that doesn't coincide with Spp's but yet it does. That's too complicated. That's gonna be a pain in the arse to explain to newbies! And if the problem you are trying to fix is the ageing at first roll then how does "7 exp's" fix it? For many that's gonna come one game after they get their first skill (unless I'm missing something)!
To me it seems all that's going to do is confuse ppl. I think if you don't want to age at your first skill then make it so. How hard is that? As for the EXP system...I thought it was supposed to fix that? If it doesn't why are you clutching to it? It's a nice system but you need to know when to let go.

Why use EXP and MVP? You wanted to stop ageing on your first skill and EXP did ok at that. Now you are gonna throw MVPs back on there and move the time you roll for ageing up. Sounds like you don't like to age your players. If that's so then why not use EXP or MVP (which both work nicely) and just skip ageing on your first skill? Why make it confusing?

The way I understand it (as it is now) is 1 EXP = 1SPP, BUT you only roll for aging when you get to 6 EXP points, not a combination of 6 EXP and SPP, so it will take at least 6 (7?) games before yu'd even have to roll for aging.

Of course, I might be completely wrng on this.

I'd prefer MA, AV and niggling. -1AG on a thrower, catcher, gutter runner, wardancer or witch elf is just like killing the player. -1AV will make the player die sooner but be just as good in the meantime. It seems like a nice effect and perfect with the fluff (old guys break easier).

Even though i don't like aging, i find EXP to be much worse. Like Pariah said, it's needlessly complex. The way i see it (and knowing how people in my league tend to think after voting on many new rules), even if it becomes official, we'll probably never use it in my league.

As for giving pro to everyone at some point in time, that's a very bad call. Increasing the amount of pro in all teams will simply amount in many more rolls every game as every block that resulted in a push will beget a pro roll, followed half the time by a new block roll. It makes the games longer without adding anything to gameplay.

You can have 7 SPPs without having 7 EXP points Pariah ... you are confusing the two. With very low dice rolls for EXP, it would be possible to have a 150 SPP player with only 5 SPPs who never worried about aging ... not bloody likely but minutely possible.
