They don't last long against me, low armor means I put the hurt on them early and often. I don't play Dwarves, but in any game vs them I beat on the Slayers, and they do nothing except bleed. Cheap SPPs for me.

How are orc linemen useless?! Av9 can be very annoying. Granted they're not blitzers or black orcs, but nor do they cost the same, and you can't have more than 4 of each. They're grunts, but they do it well, because they're generally there from turn to turn. Ideal for sticking under the nose of a minotaur/rat ogre where you wouldn't want a blitzer particularly.
And whoever said goblins are better at putting the tzs on because they're more agile - then yes, that's an ok point. But they're also st2,av7 - so how long are they going to be stood about doing that?
When I got back into bb and looked through the teams I thought there were a few less than useful players, but after going to a couple of tournaments I'm more of the opinion that what I regard as 'bad' players are more just ones I haven't worked out how to use effectively yet.

Very well said. I feel the same way.

I am one who considers Orc Linemen useless. It's not that they're not good players, you made some very good points to that effect, it's just that, for my playing style, there are better players available to this team than that Lineman. Pick on my Gobbos. That's fine, they're cheap and you're not hitting someone else. You'd better take them out, though, because one minute they're dodging through TZ to lend an assist, the next they'll be in the End Zone with the ball. They're much more versatile than that tough Lineman that is not good for much more than getting hit. I've got lots of players on this team that are much better at doing that than the Lineman too.

I have 4 linemen on my orc team, and I don't plan on getting rid of them anytime soon. They're the guys you give Kick, Dirty player and so on, as well as being wild animal fodder (only a Longbeard is better for that).

The ONLY reason Orc linemen could EVER be described as useless is that the team can have 15 position players including a full complement of Goblins and a big guy.
