Why?
Sorry - if your team is being so badly mauled that you only have a few guys on pitch, thats tough luck. The way the rule is now, Skaven and Wood Elves can sit their one turn scorers on the sidelines on defence, never being exposed to the one chance we get of hurting the gits.

Which, I hate to say it, isn't exactly a shining endorsement of the rule considering what the other stuff JJ has come up with lately is like.

[quote="Snarlton Heston"]Great question!

HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN A ONE TURN SCORE BY A DWARF TEAM (after the dwarves receive the kick-off and without a quick snap)?

If it is theorically possible but hasn't been done, I would call this IMPOSSIBLE!

Well this is sort of cheating in 2 respects, but I have seen a dwarf team score a td in 1 turn.

it was back in 3rd ed under JJ's allies rules...the dwarf team had a human catcher ally (cheat #1), and a quick snap was rolled (cheat#2). but it was a dwarf team and they did score on my in turn 8 of the first half against my dark elves...tourney game no less.

i did still win tho. :)

You don't have to stop a 1 turner from being able to score to still win the game.

If your opponent has the capacity to score in 1 turn you should adjust your gameplan to take this into consideration and ensure the 1 turn capability is not a factor, or at least their most risky option.

Same as if your opponent has piling on mummies, same as if your opponent is a dwarf team where everyone has guard, same as if it's an amazon team where everyone has blodge. etc, etc, etc.

The constant cries of "xyz is broken" on this board is belied by the fact I'm yet to see any one kind of team dominate the game. Any good coach will win with any team.

Easy to say when you're one of the best players around mate ;) .

One turn scorers are intensely irritating, but they aren't broken. They do need to become viable targets again though.
