Look, it's pretty simple. Remove the Ogre from the Dwarf roster, and add the Deathroller Star Player instead. It's a machine so that's why it doesn't gain any SPPs. My league uses the Deathroller this way and there is no problem what-so-ever. I don't think trying to make a mini deathroller will ever fly, it's a frikkin' Deathroller for Nuffle's sake!!! Make it mean!

Balrog,

Does your team allow it on the roster permanetly? Or does it have to be freebooted every match?

Permanently.
Remove Ogre, Add Deathroller.

Some people don't like the "PEAKED" thing.
This is why the experimenting with a "Rookie Deathroller" started...

I think I like that idea better than a rookie deathroller big guy. I'm still leaning towards the secret weapon thing myself, though.

Ban Deathrollers altogether.
In fact ban all Dwarfs. Melt down all Dwarf figures ever produced and use them as fishing weights.

Solved, simple as that. Just think outside the box.

LOL! Add "Big Hat" CD's to that and that's the most sensible answer I've seen so far.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

On the 10th Jan, in a faraway thread discussing the BB, Deathwing wrote: Dwarves are the most boring, one dimensional, predictable and downright saddest race that exists in BB, and hence are usually coached by the most boring, one dimensional, predictable and downright saddest coaches! :D
Beware, the sheer size of the NAF points at the BB are a double edged sword. Competition is going to be white hot, and it's entirely possible that anybody who has a bad/unlucky tournament will end up in a huge hole, even if they're playing their 'preferred' race.
Personally, I hope that all Dwarf teams have such a nightmare that:
a) Their coaches abandon them for future tournaments because their NAF rating is irrecoverable...and
b) Other coaches look at their sad failure and conclude that they're uncompetitive and won't take them either.

Beardy little b*stards! I hate them. All of them. I hope I meet them a lot at the BB so I can do my part in trashing their credibilty as a Tourney race. Get your Books of Grudges ready guys, you'll be needing them...
Nothing personal though...

you know...I thought of that a little while after I posted. Perhaps its a sign of Thads slow conversion to the good guys. :D Either that, or it really is armageddon, and my last two finals next week mean sh*t so I should just go and play bb.

Sorry...just a bit tired...
ummm...NUFFLE ROCKS.

The Church of Nuffle has the stance that the Deathroller is merely an advanced form of player armour and therefore totally within the laws of Nuffle. They should be used to smite unbelievers as often as possible.

(Only plays Dwarfs cos he liked the second ed figures and has never seen any reason to change race, especially to some gang of girly, won't stand and fight, pointy eared gits.)

and BTW...

When you start quoting yourself, isn't that a sign of madness?
