Which team do you like best for an offensive stategy/style that leans towards a passing game?

Would it not just be the high or wood elves.

The gutter runner does have AG 4 so he could be involved in passing.

However, the elf teams are by far the best for a passing game.

Right at the start, I'd say that Skaven have a slight advantage with their excellent movement, cheap skill players and beginning Sure Hands on their thrower.

Later on, the Elves will have the advantage, though.

Even at the beginning, High elves are better, because of AG4 and Lion with MO8 and Catch. And later, they rules.
Humans can be competitive in the beginning because of their skills but AG3 make them less powerfull with the time.

Does anyone prefer to coach a team that starts with more skills, ST or AV (relative to elves) and then develop throwers & catchers? (not that I have, I'm just curious-thus my poll)? Elf teams may have a hard time keeping 11 on the pitch.

What about Skaven? I assumed they were a passing team? Do coaches run with them and simply try to outrun the competition?

Skaven are a fast running team, the gutter runners don't come with catch like normal catchers, so its safer for them to run with it. This doesn't mean that they can't play a passing game, the guttter runners have ag4 after all so should catch quite well and they have throwers.

The other non elf option for a throwing game is the humans, they are based to be all rounders and they can be developed to do pretty much anything. On the same note amazon and norse teams can play the passing game as well.

Then you have teams with throwers but have no catchers, the orcs spring to mind and also the new khemri team, can't see much use for a thrower in these teams until you have developed someone a bit better for catching, but well i spose you can try the passing game with them.

Skaven are fun becasue they can be either a running or a passing team. You have enough mobility to cut back across the field and keep a cage together, or send your rats deep and force them to play coverage. A good running game is based on outpositioning your opponent, and Skaven certainly have the movement for it.

Skaven are fine as passers, as long as you use the throwers as the passers and the gutter runners as catchers. Because of the AG3 on everyone except GRs, they aren't as flexible as elves, though. You can't just toss it to a lineman and be really confident that he can catch it most of the time, especially under stress (TZs, in particular.) In addition, if you're worried about keeping elves on the pitch, I don't see how skaven will help you, as except for Storm Vermin, they all have AV7. They are, however, cheap relative to elves, so if you lose someone permanently, at least you can red-shirt someone without breaking the bank.

Your friend throws gutter runners instead of the ball? Mind you DW throws dice instead of the ball :)

No, a gunter runner throw the ball to the others...
And not a skav thrower.
