There is a poll about whether secret weapons and allys should be official or just house rules. Personally I don't like allys in team, they are usually a fudge to include skills teams don't normally have, or getting position players they don't normally have. Secret weapons on the other hand i am undecided about. I find them to be kind of important to goblin teams to a degree, but I am not sure how they will affect other teams, due to how lethal they can potentially be.

Maybe with proper balencing and prices, plus restrictions to what races can take what weapons, they could be a nice addition to a team. I would like to see them hard to get on the pitch, or easily sent off, because i feel they should be used as an exception rather than a rule. I don't want every man and his dog to be using them, but they can spice the game up a bit.

Maybe saying you can only use it once every so many games in a league (well might not work) They must be freebooted at least though and one per team, two per goblin teams?

Just soem thoughts, i wanted to knock around, I am completly undecided on secret weapons at the moement, though allys I really don't like.

Agree with you!
Those questions are not similar.
We have to divide them.

Allys in team is a very bad thing!
For the Secret weapon, i think may be a funny way!

Why they posted this as one question is something I'll be scratching my head about for a while...are secret weapons and allies really part of the same equation? =P

I feel the same, allies = no, secret weapons = yes.

Allies I dont really care about, However arent these already the pact teams of BB mag #3, I think these are fairer but could still be tweeked.

Secret weapons,They were actually restricted to certain races,the Elves could take none(Darkies could get the dagger).
How about If a player is sent off for using one he gets a game suspension

Yer thats a possability. Were they actually race restictions on secret weapons or merely the fact that those races had no star players equipped with these weapons? Then again they might not have had star players with these weapons because their races wasn't allowed them. Who knows huh ;]
