Blitz/Pass?
I'm pretty sure you can do this, but I'm having trouble finding the rule that explains it.
I was spectating a game and a High elf dragon Warrior blitzed, threw a block at a player that had a tacklezone on the ball Which was on the ground, that same player then dodged into the space with the ball, picked it up, and passed it out of there to end the player's turn. Is that legal?
From what I'm reading it may not be.
Do you declare a pass action before you even have the ball?

Right each pleyer on your team may perform one action and one action only per team turn. Now a blitz is an action and a pass is an action. This means that a single player can not do both a blitz and a pass in the same turn. This is now also the same with hand offs seeing as they are now an action.
So no you can't blitz someone then pick the ball up and throw it with the same player in the same turn.

But it doesn't result in a turnover does it?
Turnover definition is:
The ball is passed and not caught by a player from the moving team.
What if you dodge in there and fail, but have stand firm for example? You have declared a pass that did not result in a throw, let alone a player from your team catching it.
Not nit-picking, I just play orcs and Chaos Dwarves so throwing is not normally in my vocabulary.
Thanks,
Dakkakhan

This is why you declare before doing anything! If you declare a Pass or Blitz and have to use Stand Firm on a failed Dodge then your Blitz or Pass action is used for the turn. Likewise you declare a Blitz action before rolling Bonehead, if you fail the Bonehead roll then your Blitz action is used. None of the above result in a turnover, it's all pretty clear in the LRB.dakkakhan wrote:But it doesn't result in a turnover does it?
