These games of Blood Bowl are like baseball... they're just too long!

Only problem is, I can't think of any way to speed the game up. 1 minute turns would do it, but I'm not sure you could get much of anything done in a minue.

Two hour games aren't too long. It depends on what you think is too long, but we're playing without the 4 minute a turn rule and still they're quite quickly finished.....

I think the game time is just fine.

We've never used the limit. Never missed it.

Leave the game time alone.

thats the first time i've ever heard anyone complain about game time, i don't think it's long enough, i'm sure all of you have needed just one more turn to win a game before.

If the regular one is two long try the Java version. Our last game took 57minutes. Okay I got caned. BUT if you've a wireless mouse - charge the batteries before hand. Otherwise you might end up making a dodge instead of just standing. DOH!

Its fine as it is. At the TBB Tulip Invitational we managed three games in one aftrenoon with no trouble.

Our gamegroup's longest game in second edition was 8.5 hours. And we even had a 5-minute rule already back then. The game ended 3-2 with only one player left on the pitch who also scored the winning TD.

Those games were too long, I think the game now takes just about the right amount of time (when using the "abt. 4-minutes" rule).

Use a timer. Game speed picks up and it's more challenging too. I think it's a bit easier because there's not much time to second guess yourself.

Well, if you think the game is too long, you're probably not enjoing yourself with playing BB.

Is it because you like the postmatch section or to roll for your players?

I don't think the game is too long, not at all. I have fun while playing, and sometimes, I even want the game to last longer...

Ask your opponent to think quicker. Helped in my case.

No I don't feel the game is too longish. Perfect for me. Tensed games get longer naturally and boring ones speed up pretty quick.

The more you play, the faster it gets. And.. smarter opponents help, also.

Then you should check back on a couple of old threads here. There have been many suggestions already to make the game shorter. The general consensus here i think is that the game is just a little bit too long, but not that much.

personally i think 2h is not long.
