Finally got a delivery today, been waiting awhile. Suspect it was one of the packages that the Post Office apparently 'lost'.
Ordered Lizardmen team..listed on the UK Online store as 1 Krox, 4 Saurus and 7 skinks at £20.
Recieved 4 Saurus and 8 Skinks..charged £25. :(
Ordered extra Saurus..yep..that old chestnut...recieved with no arm.
Ordered the Amazon cheerleader we didn't have..recieved a Human cheerleader instead. :(
On the bright side, we did get a Lion Warrior OK, but then that was only re-ordered because they sent a Dragon Warrior by mistake last time.
Amazon coach came through OK, as did the Khemri.

Just before the the package arrived, I was reading this month's WD:

"The Games Workshop UK Online Store has been approved for membership of the Which? Web Trader Scheme. The scheme, run by Which?, the UK's biggest consumer group, encourages the highest standards among online traders to ensure consumers are treated fairly when shopping online. By displaying the Which? Web Trader Logo we agree to follow the Which? Code of Practice. This means you can shop online with Games Workshop with confidence."

Dunno whether to laugh or cry. Back to the phones I guess. :-?

DW,

I think this is a world wide phenomenon as far as GWMO is concerned. Have had similar things happen with orders from GW Canada and GW US. Waiting for an order of bitz to show up in the next couple of weeks, kinda afraid to see what they f***ed up on this time.

Another horror story.

Started a BBMag sub with #4, which I received after numerous phone calls. After being off-line for a while I saw BigD talking about #5. As I hadn't receeved it I emailed the Trollz, who replied by sub didn't start until #6 :o . So I phoned tonight. Guy was very polite and tried his best. Basically, when you place an order it's input on their 'new' system, along with the codes (yes, the new system they've been having problems with for months). This is copied across to the old system for picking. unfortunately, not al the codes are on the new system yet, so he was unable to place an order for the missing one, although if it was just a picking error then the picking system has a code.

So I now have an order ref., and if a local store has a copy then I can pick it up from them, if not, I've got to wait a week or so as it will hopefully be on the new system then.

And now they've joined Which?. :-?

do not even get me started about the GW shipping and delivery! I gave up.. just grab what i need at a convention, or wait for the local GW shop to get what i want in stock (ha,ha,ha.. thats a joke... GW stores in the US are USUALLY a sad experience.)

While I've had plenty of problems with GW mailorder they've always made things right. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries but the piles of free stuff that accumulate are fantastic. I like it when they mess things up. Maybe that's why they haven't messed anything up lately. I need to order something quick.

Just to give GW online ordering some positive comments - on Thursday (the day after the supposed last one for getting stuff for Christmas), I ordered 2 dark elf blitzers, 1 dark elf thrower, 1 dark elf lineman, 2 referees (one of each), 1 chaos mutant w/claw, & 2 beastmen. They arrived this morning - so that's my dark elf and chaos teams complete.

I'm a bit concerned about lizzies from what I hear though. This seems a frequent problem.

Cheers,
Martyn
