Go to the Online/PBeM resources forum page and you'll find most of your questions answered there.

One word of warning - online gaming is as addictive as tabletop gaming :D

As Darkson said there is a whole area for this, but I'll hit the very basics.

There are several different online resources. Two that deserves notes that I'm not going to talk about are NetBowl and TowBowl, but these both tend to be used by Spanish and French leagues.

The two major English tools at this point play two very different ways.

The first is SkiJunkie's Java tool. Its is used for online play. Game time I understand is around 1 1/2 hours.

The second is Ronald Loker's PBeM tool. This is used to play via Email. Each turn takes about 5 minutes to play. A game takes 2 to 3 weeks to finish.

Which version you used really only depends on how much time you have to play. Both versions are free and have virtually all the skills programmed in.

What stinks .... nothing that I know of ... if someone else can tell you something, I'd love to here it.
